NFL Head Coaching Carousel: Marvin Lewis To Stay With Cincinnati Bengals?
The anticipated week of NFL head coaches getting fired continues to run slowly, especially with news recently breaking that Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis is expected to stay put.
According to multiple reports, Lewis is expected to extend his tenure as Bengals coach after meeting with owner Mike Brown.
There has been speculation for weeks regarding Marvin Lewis, who has only two winning seasons in eight years and just finished off a disappointing 4-12 season when so much hype was involved.

Lewis was offered a contract extension last year, but denied the acceptance. Before Lewis wanted to continue his coaching career with the Bengals, he wants to see an improvement in team facilities along with more control of the roster decisions, sources say.
Brown never signaled a decision of not wanting to bring Lewis back for another year. Known around the league as one of the league's most controlling owners, it is surprising to see a change won't be made in Cincinnati.
The Bengals finished strong to end the season, as the young group of players received an opportunity and won three out of the last four games.
Defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer and Raiders offensive coordinator Hue Jackson were rumored to be the likely candidates for the job if Lewis doesn't return.
