Fantasy Football Week 17 Rankings: Wide Receivers Matchups To Exploit
In a bind at who to play at the wide receiver position with your fantasy football season on the line?
If so, take a look at our breakdown of four wideouts that could lead you to a Week 17 victory during the fantasy playoffs.
Kenny Britt (Tennessee Titans) at Indianapolis
Britt had four receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. He looks to be over the hamstring injury that caused him to miss the better part of five games.
Britt now has 10 receptions for 217 yards and a touchdown over the last two games. The Indianapolis Colts have only allowed an average of 18 fantasy points per game and 10 touchdowns to the wide receiver position this season.
However, Britt continues to receive a good amount of targets and seizes the opportunity more often than not.
Expect Britt, who has been one of the most bankable receivers in recent weeks, to continue his onslaught.
Mario Manningham (New York Giants) at Washington
Super Mario came up big once again, hauling in four receptions for 132 and a touchdown.
Manningham has 12 receptions for 245 yards and three touchdowns over the last two games.
He has a great shot at three productive games in a row against a Washington Redskins’ team that has allowed 22 fantasy points per game and has given up the second most passing yards per game (263) in the NFL this season.
Manningham is a good looking start this week.
Santana Moss (Washington Redskins) vs. New York Giants
Mr. Consistent has returned: Moss had five receptions for 85 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
In the last three games, Moss has 20 receptions for 239 yards and three touchdowns with Rex Grossman as the signal caller for the Washington Redskins.
The New York Giants have allowed 16 touchdowns to wide receivers this season and Moss has received plenty of opportunities to be productive recently, with 32 targets over the past three games.
Ride Moss while he’s hot.
Jacoby Jones (Houston Texans) vs. Jacksonville
One Houston Texans’ receiver was able to do his best Andre Johnson impersonation on Sunday and that receiver was Jones.
He had five receptions for 115 yards against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
If Johnson is unable to go again, Jones has a great matchup against a Jacksonville Jaguars’ club that has allowed 12 receptions per game and has given up 18 touchdowns to the wide receiver position this season.
Expect Jones who has had a productive three game stretch to finish the season strong.
