NFL Power Rankings Week 17: Focus on the New York Giants
Doing power rankings is tough, but because of the limited number of games on an NFL schedule, it's one of the only ways to get an idea for which teams are better than others, accounting for factors other than just their records.
At my site—www.GuysNation.com—I do a weekly power ranking of all 32 NFL teams. It's a hugely subjective process in which I account for a team's strength of schedule, margin of victory, good wins and bad losses.
Where do the New York Giants currently rank with a record of 9-6?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
They shouldn't be in the top 12, especially if they're not able to get into the playoffs—a reality after their terrible loss to the Green Bay Packers last week following a demoralizing last-second loss AT HOME to the division rival Eagles the week before. At least, that's one theory about how the power rankings should be done. By that line of thinking, they should be behind the St. Louis Rams and Seattle Seahawks, both of whom can still win the NFC West. Do I ascribe to that theory?
It's an interesting one, and while I did take it into account, that's not how I do my rankings. I put a lot more thought into that, and I weigh an entire season's worth of outcomes, not just the most recent games (though they are weighed more heavily). The Giants do have a handful of lopsided victories on their resume, as well as some decent wins within the division and a good victory over the playoff bound Chicago Bears.
How does their resume stack up against the rest of the league?
