Eric Staal, Carolina Hurricanes Center, Cooling Down In Fantasy NHL Week 13
Ilya Kovalchuk regained his rightful throne on the Cold section. He had gone too long without making the list for his terrible season in New Jersey.
One week after making the Hot list, Roberto Luongo disappointed fantasy owners. Hopefully after the birth of his child his head will be cleared.
Eric Staal even disappointed this week and makes a surprise appearance on the Cold Front.
Note: Statistics are taken from December 20 to December 27.
Dion Phaneuf, Toronto Maple Leafs Defenseman
1 of 15
Phaneuf is one of the most talented defenseman, but injuries have hindered him this season.
He is still trying to regain his form but is failing to produce. He took just one shot on goal and missed. He did not dish out any assists and has just five for the season.
He was minus-one for the week and is minus-five for the year.
Keep your fingers crossed.

A week after making the Hot list, Luongo disappoints and ends up in the Freezer.
Granted, Luongo only made one start, but it was a terrible overtime loss to the Detroit Red Wings.
Luongo gave up five goals in the contest and thus has a .889 save percentage for the week.

Thomas Vanek, Buffalo Sabres Left Wing
7 of 15
Fantasy owners hoped Vanek would out produce his preseason rank.
He is doing a fine job, but is not exceeding any expectations with 25 points and minus-12 for the season. This week, Vanek failed to score on seven shot attempts and did not record an assist either.
He is also minus-one for the week.

10 of 15
It’s been a few weeks since Kovalchuk made the Cold list. It’s about time he takes his throne back for his pathetic season.
Kovalchuk took eight shots on goal and did not score. He also did not record an assist and is hilariously minus-five for the week to bring him down to minus-26 for the season.

13 of 15
Staal used to be one of the top centers in the game, but is starting to decline a tad bit.
This week, he took just five shots on goal and failed to score. He has just one assist and is minus-one. He is still on pace to near last year’s 70-point total.
