Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars RB, Hurt In Fantasy NFL Week 17 Fallers
For most fantasy players, the season is over.
For some others, there is still a finale week to be played to determine the league championship. With only a few teams left in the playoff hunt, which players will be sitting for the finale?
Which players should fantasy owners avoid heading into Week 17?
Maurice Jones-Drew and Calvin Johnson, two of the top fantasy players this season, are battling injuries. Will they suit up or sit down?
Greg Olsen, Chicago Bears TE
1 of 12
Olsen is actually one of the most gifted receiving tight ends in the league. Most wouldn’t know, though.
Olsen has five touchdowns on the season, but Jay Cutler has shown improved chemistry with his wide receivers in recent weeks.
As the Bears head into the postseason, it is more important for Cutler to continue improving the rapport with his receivers than force-feeding Olsen the ball.

Jon Kitna, Dallas Cowboys QB
4 of 12
Kitna had a nice stretch under Jason Garrett.
However, a player’s true colors will always shine through at some point. Kitna was pulled against Arizona after he threw two pick-sixes in the first half.
Expect Stephen McGee to start against the Philadelphia Eagles Week 17.

Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions WR
7 of 12
Calvin Johnson had one of the best fantasy seasons of any receiver in the game.
He has been rather mum the past two games though. He was bothered Week 16 by an ankle injury. Head coach Jim Schwartz is being coy regarding Johnson’s status for Week 17.
Keep your eye on Megatron.

Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacksonville Jaguars RB
10 of 12
Jones-Drew picked up the pace over the past month, which was a pleasant surprise since he wore down late last year.
He was forced to miss the Week 16 contest against the Washington Redskins despite playoff hopes still in sight. The Jaguars enter Week 17 with the same opportunity, as they need to beat Houston and hope for Tennessee to beat Indianapolis.
It remains to be seen, though, if Jones-Drew will participate in the game.
