Brady goes down along with Patriots Super Bowl hopes!

Sunday was a sickening day for Patriots fans, as New England's star quarter back "Tom Brady" went down with a season ending knee injury. Although the team is still well rounded, it is not likely that the Pats will return to the Super Bowl this year. Taking over the starting role for Brady is Matt Cassel. Cassel has been in the league for four years but has not had very much playing time because Brady had started 111 games in a row up to this point. Many questions have come up about Cassel and how he will handle the pressure. Also, if the team can make the playoffs this year and if so, how far will they go? It is my opinion that the Pats will go 11-5 this season or maybe a little better. As for Cassel, it is still unknown what he can really do, because he has not started a game since high school. But from what he showed us in the remainder of the 17-10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, the Pats might have a pretty good season. Cassel went 13 of 18 passing, for 152 yards and a touchdown. Remember, they still have Laurence Maroney, Wes Welker & Randy Moss and as long as you have these three guys you have a fighting chance at the playoffs. But when it comes down to it, Cassel just can't make alot of the throws Brady can. No offense to Cassel but not too many guys can. This is the thing that separates good teams from excellent teams. Even though the Pats should make the playoffs, I would look for a different team to be the favorite AFC team to go to the Super Bowl. The Colts and Chargers both suffered stunning losses Sunday but I think they will both bounce back and possibly one of those two teams is now the favorite. As for Tom Brady, his season might be over but how bad could it be? His girlfriend is still a super model, so I think he will stay occupied this season, and look for Brady to have a huge season next year.
