UFC 125: Dana White and Company Offer a Special Treat for Fans

Dale De SouzaDec 26, 2010

We're well into fight week for UFC 125, the New Years Day spectacular that will see the consensus-best Lightweight in MMA, Frankie "The Answer" Edgar, try and avenge the only loss of his career while simultaneously attempting to keep the UFC Lightweight Title around his waist.

The challenger, Gray Maynard, is responsible for handing Edgar that loss and will be looking to hand Edgar a second loss when he challenges the New Jersey native for his belt.

Co-headlining the card is a Middleweight bout between Chris Leben and Brian Stann, and rounding out the card are the return of Brandon "The Truth" Vera who faces Thiago Silva, the Nate Diaz-Dong Hyun Kim welterweight battle, and the Clay Guida-Takanori Gomi scrap in the Lightweight division.

The pre-fight press conference takes place this Wednesday, December 29th at 4PM EST/1PM PST and will be streamed on UFC.com and on MMA Junkie, with an open workout session occurring the next day at 3PM EST/ Noon PST, but that's not the only big treat that UFC President Dana White has for fans of the MMA super-titan.

Fans—yes, the FANS of the UFC who are naturally invited to attend the Fan Expos and the open workouts that the UFC occasionally has hosted—are invited to attend the pre-fight press conference this upcoming Wednesday.

Talk about a connection with the fans—first Dana releases a clip of the UFC 110 opener previewing the Wanderlei Silva-Michael Bisping fight, then he releases the entire opener to UFC 124 on Youtube, and now this.

MMA Junkie reports that indeed, if you are a fan (and again, let me emphasize: UFC FAN) and you're going to be in the Las Vegas area this week, you're invited to attend the pre-fight press conference which will feature the headliners, co-headliners, and "El Presidente" himself.

As members of the media often do for press conferences, fans will also be encouraged to ask fighters questions pertaining to the fight as they so desire.

Not a bad way to get the crowd hyped up for UFC 125 on Saturday, as far as this kid is concerned.
