Forgotten Stars? Top 10 Talents That Are Not In WWE Or TNA at The Moment!

The Jonathan CooneyyDec 28, 2010

Due to the state of the world's economic system every company have to make some sort of cut backs.

WWE and TNA are included in the above sentence and their way with dealing with unexpected is by releasing a lot of talent.

WWE have lost a lot of players recently who sell lots of merchandise for them and because of the way the company was ran they decided to leave.

I am talking about the likes of Matt Hardy, Dave Batista and of course MVP.

TNA have signed so many top talents this  years such as Jeff Hardy, Rob van Dam, Mr Anderson, "Pope" D'angelo Dinero and more so the likes of Kevin Nash has to be released however, he is not a top talent and will not be included in this current slide show.

I would also like to add guys like Rock, Austin, Finlay and HBK will definitely not be included either, they retired and gave a lot to the business.

If you would like to read my predictions for this years draft please click http://bleacherreport.com/articles/553388-wwe-draft-2011-whatever-happens-happens-several-moves-i-think-will-take-place.

Thank you!

Jerry Lynn

1 of 10

The likes of Tommy Dreamer, Raven, Rhino, Mick Foley, Sabu, Stevie Richards, Al Snow, Pat Kenney were all either rehired or brought back into storyline with TNA over Dixie's decision to resurrect ECW.

Jerry Lynn is currently contracted to Ring of Honour and is in very good shape compared to the majority of the guys used on TNA to represent TNA.

I know that Jerry got has problems with his back but, so did WWE Legend Shawn Michaels and just look at the matches he was putting on in his final years in WWE against the likes of John Cena, Rey Mysterio, The Undertaker and more.

I would love to see Lynn return to WWE and feud with Dolph Ziggler over the Intercontental title. Jerry Lynn never held the title but he was a former WWF Light Heavyweight Championship until he lost the belt to the current TNA World Champion, Jeff Hardy.

Another thing I would love to see Jerry do in WWE would be to mentor an NXT rookie and a heel gimmick could start up where he bashes WWE stars' wrestling and attempts to bring back "the old ECW style".

Jerry Lynn also spent 5 years in TNA (2002 - 2007).

In that time he won the X Division title twice and also the Tag Titles twice with the Phenomenal, AJ Styles and Amazing Red.

Jerry also one the ECW Title and ROH World Championship title as well as dozens of other achievements in the Indies.

Booker-T AKA King Booker!

2 of 10

Booker-T is one of the biggest and best star to come out of WWE's former rival company WCW that was purchased by Vince.

Booker could be contracted to WWE if talks had not "fallen through".

"Fallen through" was the words that many top Pro Wrestling news sites referred to as to what happend between Booker and WWE officials.

Booker-T is one of the most experience wrestler there is in the business and does not deserve wrestling outside of the "top two" wrestling promotions in the U.S.

Booker-T has one titles in the WWE, WCW and TNA and he is one of a very short list who have done that.

The titles he has held in the past include the Intercontental, United States, Tag Team and World Title all with the WWE.

In WCW he was a big player and won the WCW Title 5 times (as he will always remind you) as well as wining their United States, Tag Team and Television Title too.

In TNA he was a member of the notorious Main Event Mafia where himself Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash, Sting, Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe ran riot on the company.

Despite Booker's in-ring skills, mic skills and experience he never won a World Title in TNA but he did win the Legends Championship and the Tag Team that he held with Scott Steiner.

Booker is a top player and I think he will be back on our screens in the next 6-8 months.

Awesome Kong

3 of 10

Titles, intimadation, in-ring skills and the perfect look is what Awesome Kong was made up well that, and about 275 pounds of weight.

She is the largest female competitor I have ever seen with my own two eyes.

I loved her in TNA she was not your average knockout or diva, she was not flashy or a dumb blonde (Lacey Von Erich) she was just in the business for the business and that is one of the biggest pro's Awesome Kong has to her name.

She is one of TNA's most sucessful Diva's to date and it would be interesting to see how she would deal with the newer ones like Tara and Mickie James.

She won the Knockouts Title twice and also the Knockout Tag Team titles with Hamada.

Hamada was released from her TNA contract on the 6th of December after months of inactivity in TNA. At the time of her release she was Knockout Tag Team Champion with Taylour Wilde. The titles were later vacated.

Awesome Kong is a rare type of Diva and if TNA have no intrest in re-signing her then I think she should go with the WWE.

Shelton Benjamin

4 of 10

The Gold Standerd should of and could of won the World Title during his time sent in the WWE after he defeated star with brilliant in-ring skills such as Jack Swagger, Ric Flair, Triple H, Christian, CM Punk and also Chris Jericho.

Benjamin was continuously tipped for greatness and it is a horrible shame he never got to reach what he definitely deserved.

Benjamin was released from his WWE contract on 22nd of April this year along with several more after cutbacks were announced.

Benjamin was part of one of the greatest Tag Teams in SmackDown history. Himself and Charlie Haas were part of "Team Angle" and as a unit they were known as The Worlds Greatest Tag Team.

Together they won the Tag Titles twice.

As a singles competitor Shelton won the Intercontental Championship as well as the United States title on several occasions and in 2005 he finished 9th in PWI's top 500 stars.

He was ranked higher than talented stars like Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Jeff Hardy and Kane.

Sheltons release was a mistake and hopefully some day WWE will realise that.

I would love to see TNA snap up Benjamin and that way, hopefully he would win a World Title and please us all.

Shinsuke Nakamura

5 of 10

I must admit before you read any further that I do not know a great deal about this superstar but I have done a great deal of research on him and have watched a number of his matches.

Earlier this year, PWI announced that they would rank him as #7 in their annual Pro Wrestling superstar rankings he finished above the likes of Sheamus, The Undertaker, Triple and TNA's Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle.

To see Shinsuke Nakamura pairing up in Tag Team with Brock Lesnar please click on the given link below.

And if you want to watch him in one on one action against Kurt Angle please click on the given link below.

If you witness them videos you will understand why that man deserves to be a part of WWE or TNA and compete for their major titles.

Montel Vontanious Porter

6 of 10

If Montel was not drafted to RAW in 2009 then he would probably be a Main Event star right now.

When he got his "big" move to Monday Nights he straight away went out and confronted then-WWE Champion Randy Orton.

The confrontation led to a match, the match was decent and entertaining but yet again MVP was squashed.

One year later in the WWE in his final match in Tag action teaming up with Kaval against Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler and yet again he was...

SQUASHED!

About six weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown we witnessed MVP with a new titantron and ring attire, we were hopeful that WWE had finally realised just how talented he was and decided to push him.

But after he lost a title match vs. Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontental Championship and failed to qualify for the King of the Ring in a match against Drew McIntyre.

We all knew that yet again WWE have failed to push yet another deserving star.

MVP will now join the likes of Shelton Benjamin as one of the most deserving World Champions in WWE history.

I think it would be great to see MVP in TNA some day.

Dave Batista

7 of 10

John Cena disgraced this man live on PPV shortly after that Batista quit the WWE.

A couple of days later, Batista stated in an interview that he left WWE because he did not like the direction the company was going in and would not be returning any time soon.

It is highly doubtful that he will ever join TNA after he criticized the wrestling promotion Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, claiming, "I've also seen clips of their car wreck matches with A.J. Styles doing his stunts.

That's not wrestling. Wrestling is storytelling."

In April 2006, Styles responded to Batista's comments, stating, "I think it's funny that a guy who takes a bump and tears his back tells me that I don't know how to wrestle."

So if Batista keeps his words and does not return to WWE and stays loyal to his comments and never joins TNA because "that is not wrestling" then it is highly doubtful we will ever see him in cahoots with Hulk, Dixie or Eric.

It is a great Shame Batista made such controversial comments because it is doubtful we will ever see him in WWE or TNA.

Kaval

8 of 10

If kicks could win you World Title then Kaval would definitely be the most decorated man in sports history but instead he won NXT showed his potential and WWE disappointed all of us by releasing him.

Well, to be honest with you I am not exactly disappointment.

I am 100% content with the guys WWE are pushing at the moment Cody Rhodes, Alberto Del Rio, Wade Barrett, John Morrison, The Miz as well US and IC champions Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler.

It would be ridiculous and unreasonable for us to think that WWE could push him and more because at the moment I think they are doing a decent job with the ones listed above.

And another thing that excites me about his release is that I hope to God he will join TNA and help improve the X-Division.

It is in a proper state at the moment and I think guys like Jay Lethal, Low-KI, Suicide, Rob van Dam and one or two more can help it "get its feet back".

Christopher Daniels

9 of 10

The greatest wrestlers to ever feature in TNA's X Division are real-life best friends AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels and I can say that with 100% confidence. Samoa Joe is obviously up there too.

Daniels is an awesome competitor and is ROH's current Television Champion.

This is TNA biggest, walking mistake. If they strapped this man with a World Title (which he deserves) then he would of stayed and would be battling the likes of Jeff Hardy, RVD, Anderson, Pope and more every Thursday and he performs amazing... all the time!

Daniels was smart and joined Awesome Kong in leaving the company when Bischoff, Hogan and Flair were on our screens for the majority of the show.

And come to think of it he was even more smarter to get out in time before EV 2.0 and Tommy Dreamer wanted yet another, pay cheque.

Daniels would be a smart investment for Vince and I would love to see Daniels against Mysterio, Punk, Bryan, Bourne, Del Rio and more.

But then again, when has Vince ever done anything straight-foward that would make 100% sense?

Yeah, that's right, NEVER!

Brock Lesnar

Brock made a bigger impact than Sheamus did in his first year, and that is saying something.

Brock cleanly defeated Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Undertaker, Kurt Angle, The Rock, Big Show, Edge, Jeff and Matt Hardy and he also took out dozens more.

Brock was an animal, a freak of nature.

Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker would be one the greatest WrestleMania matches ever.

In just two years Brock won the King of the Ring as well as the Royal Rumble and the WWE title three times as well as being names number one in PWI 500 countdown to the greatest stars in 2003.

Brock was the face of WWE's Ruthless Agression Era and was one of the 21st century's most dominant wrestlers.

Enough Said!
