NFL Fantasy Football Week 16: Tim Tebow Worth the Gamble in Fantasy Super Bowl

I know the feeling, fantasy owners.  You are looking for that one matchup, the matchup you have been waiting 15 long and brutal weeks for, a matchup you have played over and over in your head while you sleep.  Oh yes, it's the matchup that cannot only can give you bragging rights for an entire year, but the matchup that will make you forever enshrined in fantasy football history among family and friends.

Well, my fantasy friends, look no further than the matchup between the Houston Texans and Denver Broncos.  Most importantly, Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow. 

Yes, yes, Tebow has a matchup fantasy owners can drool over.  Not only has the Texans given up the most points scored to fantasy quarterbacks this season, but they have been among the NFL's worst in other notable categories as well, including rushing.  This is where Tebow becomes a very attractive fantasy option even in the most important game for fantasy owners this season.

Tebow was just 8-of-16 passing in his NFL starting debut last weekend against the Oakland Raiders, throwing for 138 yards and a touchdown.  But he also rushed for 78 yards on eight carries, highlighted by a 40-yard touchdown run, Tebow's fourth rushing touchdown this season. 

This is what makes the former Heisman trophy winner so attractive in Week 16: his ability to not only throw, but rush for touchdowns as well, giving fantasy owners a unique edge against their opponent.

With Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno not practicing Wednesday and listed as questionable for Week 16 after bruising his ribs against the Raiders, Tebow will most likely be called upon to not only show his ability to throw the football, but become the standout rusher against the Texans weak defense.

So, is Tebow worth the risk for your Week 16 championship matchup this weekend? For those fantasy owners left in limbo after quarterback injuries to Kyle Orton, Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre, or even the benching of Donovan McNabb, Tebow is absolutely worth the gamble in this most important fantasy weekend of the season.  Good Luck!
