Chris Pronger, Philadelphia Flyers, Iced Out in Fantasy NHL Week 12 Cold Players
We have a few players on the Cold Front this week slumping, but more importantly some veterans are out or bothered by injuries.
Chris Pronger of the Philadelphia Flyers and Marian Hossa of the Chicago Blackhawks have dealt with injuries all season.
How long will they be out for?
Who else is chilling on the ice at the moment?
Dustin Penner, Edmonton Oilers Left Wing
1 of 8
Fantasy owners hoping Penner would out-produce his fantasy stock just have to suffer through the current disappointment.
Penner failed to score and, even worse, took just four shots. He failed to record an assist. The only good thing is that he didn’t hurt owners in the plus/minus category.

Hossa has battled injury throughout the season. The veteran has been dealing with a lower body injury but has started practicing in recent days.
It has yet to be determined when he will get back on the ice for a full game, so keep him on your fantasy benches until he shows signs that he is truly back.

Jaroslav Halak, St. Louis Blues Goalie
5 of 8
Halak is supposed to be a trustworthy goalie. He is currently on a three-game losing streak and has given up 11 goals in those three losses. He has a .889 save percentage.
Halak has the talent to pick it up, although he has failed to replicate his solid 2010 Stanley Cup playoff performance.

The veteran will be forced to miss four to six weeks after undergoing surgery on his foot last week. He was doing well following the knee surgery but will now have to regain that momentum when he returns.
Matt Carle is a great pickup.
