Mascots are typically fun, fuzzy and energetic. But those fun and fuzzy creatures can sometimes go rogue and behave badly.

Most recently, the bad behavior of the Cincinnati Bearcat has drawn attention to the bad behavior of mascots throughout time. While his antics may not have been the worst on this list, they certainly have caused people to look more closely at these fun and fuzzy creatures antics.

When the mascots on this list behave badly, they don't just play harmless pranks on one another and the other team. These rogue mascots go all out in their pranks and fights, causing delays in the game or serious legal action. 

Here is a list of 20 of the worst behaved mascots of all time. 

This mascot decided to interrupt the Lakers introduction in their game against the Denver Nuggets. He took out a lawn chair and sat down right in front of their team as they were being introduced to the crowd.

While this isn’t the worst behavior of the mascots on the list, this was certainly not the best mascot behavior of all time.

In a 1994 basketball game between Arizona and Arkansas, Arizona mascot Wilbur Wildcat tackled the Arkansas Razorback mascot.

As a result of the attack, the person playing Wilbur Wildcat blew out their knee. Seems like karma came into play in this mascots bad behavior.

This mascot has been known to get into trouble over the years. One example of this mascot’s bad behavior is the time he climbed recklessly through the crowd and injured a 75-year-old woman’s knees, according to a report from Philly.com. He was also sued once for hugging a man too tightly and causing injuries

This mascot was just recently caught behaving badly at a Dec. 4 football game. The Cincinnati Bearcat was throwing snowballs at people in the crowd and when told by police to stop refused to do so. He was then arrested by police.

According to a report from Espn.com, in 1989 Montreal's Youppi! the mascot got himself ejected from a game  for dancing on top of the Dodgers’ dugout.

This mascot showed he didn’t know how to behave in the first several weeks on the job as the Bury mascot. According to BBC Sport, this mascot was sent off the field three times before being finally being fired for mooning Stoke City fans. 

Chief Brave Spirit took harmless fighting a step too far during a football game between Northeast Louisiana University and Northwestern State. This bad behavior resulted a brawl between these two mascots in the field. 

This Oregon State University mascot showed his bad side when he chose to fight with the Oregon University mascot Puddles the Duck.

It seems this rivalry became a little heated and Benny Beaver chose to lessen the tension with a good fight.

This is another mascot who has been known to get into trouble over the years.

A prime example of this mascot’s bad behavior is the time he injured a Chicago Bulls cheerleader in 1991 during a stunt where he grabbed her and rolled around on the ground with her. This chicken injured the cheerleader, resulting in a law suit against this mascot. 

This badly behaved mascot seems to really enjoy fighting other mascots. One such fight occurred between himself and the Southern Miss mascot during a football game in 2002. Big Al begun this fight and carried it out for quite some time before the two finally walked away from the fight. 

This mascot is just as badly behaved as his sparring partner, Alabama’s Big Al. While he may not have started the fight that broke out between these two during a 2002 football game, he definitely kept it going. 

While this tree may seem harmless, he is actually very badly behaved. In 2007 this mascot attacked the California Bear at a basketball game between the two schools. 

While this bear may have been attacked, he is just as badly behaved as the Stanford Tree who attacked him. In the fight that broke out between these two mascots at a 2007 basketball game, this bear had to be escorted off the court by police for fighting back against the violent tree.

Before a 2008 basketball game this mascot got into brawl on the basketball court with the Oral Roberts’ Eagle. It seems that both of these mascots are equally involved and responsible for the fight.  

This mascot is equally responsible for the fight that broke out between himself and the Indiana University-Perdue Jaguar before a basketball game in 2008. According to a Cincinnati newscast, he was later relived of his duties as the mascot for Oral Roberts.

This mascot misbehaved during a 1994 exhibition game in Puerto Rico. At the game Burnie grabbed a woman by the legs and dragged her from the stands onto the court. Unfortunately for this mascot, the woman he dragged onto the court was the wife of a judge and he was soon after charged with assault. 

Duke, the James Madison mascot, was violently attacked by Chanticleer the Coastal Carolina mascot during a football game between the two schools. This mascot had to be dragged off of the James Madison mascot in order for the fight to end.  

In 1989, this mascot wanted to help pump up his school’s spirit before a University of Miami and Florida State University football game.

To do this, he borrowed a fire extinguisher and was about to run on the field to extinguish the flaming spear of Chief Osceola. However, before he could get out on the field, he was grabbed and detained by police when the extinguisher was accidently discharged.

This mascot became infamous when he attacked the OSU mascot, Brutus, at a football game during the 2010 season. This violent act was not up to the fun loving standards of the character, and according to a report from Cleveland.com, the student playing the mascot was relieved from his duties as the OU Bobcat. 

This Mascot has been in trouble more than once throughout the history of this team.

One of the most memorable instances of this mascot behaving badly happened during a football game between Oregon and the University of Houston. The Oregon Duck attacked the Houston Cougar and later was let go from his position as the school’s mascot.
