WWE TLC: Preview and Predictions Of The Last PPV Of The Year

Bridget CampbellDec 18, 2010

WWE's last PPV of the year, TLC, is less than 48 hours away. As of now, the card looks like this:

Beth Phoenix and Natalya Vs. Lay-Cool in a tables match

John Morrison Vs. Sheamus in a ladder match (winner will become new No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship)

Monday Night RAW

Dolph Ziggler Vs. Jack Swagger Vs. Kofi Kingston in a triple threat ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship

John Cena Vs. Wade Barrett in a chairs match

The Miz Vs. Randy Orton in a tables match for the WWE Championship

Kane Vs. Edge Vs. Rey Mysterio VS Alberto Del Rio in a fatal four-way for the World Heavyweight Championship

So far the PPV looks decent and if they keep the card like this, then the WWE Universe won't have to worry about the matches not having enough time and being kept too short. Now on to the predictions.

Beth Phoenix and Natalya Vs. Lay-Cool in a tables match

This match has had a a good build up, considering it is the divas division, and the momentum is clearly on Beth's and Natalya's side, not to mention the match is more suited for their style of wrestling.

Normally I would feel like Lay-Cool are going to find a way to win this match. However, I feel like we are near the ending of the annoyances Lay-Cool have been a part of for the greater part of the year.

Here's to hoping this match goes for a little while and my Christmas wish comes true and my television is rid of Lay-Cool and their antics.

Winner: The team of Beth Phoenix and Natalya

John Morrison Vs. Sheamus in a ladder match (winner becomes new  No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship)

At first glance, this seems to be a way to get Sheamus back into the title hunt. When the stipulation was announced as a ladder match, I began to think of how athletic Morrison is and how many things I am waiting to see him do with a ladder.

Sheamus has never been in a ladder match while Morrison has been in several. What this comes down to is where WWE wants to be come Wrestlemania time.

Sheamus can't be in a feud with the WWE Championship when the WWE creative team is going to want him in a feud with Triple H.

Hopefully, this is going to be the match that finally pushes John Morrison into the main event scene.

Winner: John Morrison

Dolph Ziggler Vs. Jack Swagger Vs. Kofi Kingston in a triple threat ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship

Dolph Ziggler has held the Intercontinental Title since this summer. Kofi Kingston had a title match with Ziggler a couple of weeks ago on Smackdown in which Swagger interrupted. This triple threat match was then made.

A ladder match is definitely an advantage for Kofi Kingston. I think WWE wants Ziggler in the main event scene, so I feel he will lose his title.

Jack Swagger has had no momentum losing his past couple of matches. Kofi has won his past matches so he has plenty of momentum.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

John Cena Vs. Wade Barrett in a chairs match

Let me start of by saying that a chairs match is one of the stupidest matches ever thought of by the WWE creative team.

As for this match, it has been a long time coming and can go several different ways. The Nexus could get involved, Barrett could show that he is a star, or John Cena could win just like always.

This storyline has crashed and burned and I am ready to see it over. Unfortunately, I think WWE wants to see Undertaker Vs. Wade Barrett at Wrestlemania. I think John Cena will play Superman again but this story is not over yet.

Winner: John Cena

The Miz Vs. Randy Orton in a tables match for the WWE Championship

The Miz has been champion for a few weeks now and this is Randy Orton's rematch from when he lost the title.

Technically they both have momentum heading into TLC, but Orton's has been slamming people into tables while the Miz's momentum is winning matches, albeit at the help from Michael Cole, Alex Riley, and Alberto Del Rio.

Last year, a paper Champion won the WWE Championship at TLC (Sheamus) and this year I think WWE is going to have a paper champion retain his title at TLC.

I predict that someone other than Miz will put Orton through the table giving Miz the victory and saving Randy Orton the credibility because he didn't lose cleanly to the Miz.

Winner: The Miz

Kane Vs. Edge Vs. Rey Mysterio Vs. Alberto Del Rio in a fatal 4 way for the World Heavyweight Championship

Kane and Edge have been feuding for two months while Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio have been feuding since the summer. The feuds were originally supposed to be two matches, but this past Friday night on Smackdown the matches were combined.

Rumor is that Kane will not retain his title. Rey Mysterio has already had a title run this year. That leaves us with the veteran in Edge and a newcomer in Alberto.

With Miz retaining his title I believe WWE will want to keep the prestige of one of their top titles and give Edge the win.

Winner: Edge

I mentioned earlier that if WWE keeps the PPV as it is than all of the matches will have a good amount of time. However I also feel that the PPV needs at least one change to it. What happened to Daniel Bryan?

Yeah, that's right, one of the best wrestlers on the roster and current United States Champion currently does not have a match. He deserves one so WWE better find a way to put him on the card.

As to if I will order the PPV, the answer is yes. I am going to order the PPV for one reason and one reason only: this is the last PPV of the year and I am hoping to find out from this PPV where WWE is going to go next year.

Do you agree of disagree with my predictions? Have an idea for another match for TLC? As always feel free to comment your thoughts and thanks for reading.
