WWE TLC Preview: 10 Reasons Edge Will Beat Kane, Rey Mysterio & Alberto Del Rio

Dan PowerDec 17, 2010

In a last minute change, announced by Teddy Long on Smackdown, the Edge vs. Kane TLC match will be a Fatal-4-Way.

Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio will join the mix for a Fatal-4-Way contest for the World Heavyweight Championship.

With two more contestants battling over the gold, Kane's chances to retain dramatically decreased.

In the mean time, Edge's chances to become the new Champion increased like never before.

So, with no more introduction, let's see why Edge will become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

10. Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio Will Focus on Each Other

1 of 10

Del Rio and Mysterio are in the middle of an intense feud so they will want a piece of each other.

Their focus won't be on the World Heavyweight Championship but to try to settle scores.

Anyway, they have no business in the match and Edge will take advantage of the situation.

9. Edge Is the Most Deserving

2 of 10

Alberto Del Rio is not ready to become a World Champion.

Mysterio was suspended months ago because he violated the WWE's Wellness Policy so any serious push is out of the picture for the moment.

Kane's reign has to end; the buzz surrounding his Championship win at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view is now over.

Edge deserves a 10th World Title; his hard work out of the main event picture lately proved he could do anything to please the WWE bosses.

It's usual to see a wrestler winning the gold following odd story-lines and Edge got his share of weird angles lately. In addition, Edge is currently the most entertaining wrestler in the company and he's second in the WWE.com Power 25.

8. Edge Won't Waste a Second Title Shot Opportunity

3 of 10

Edge is not the kind of man to waste a second opportunity to grab the gold two pay-per-views in a row.

He missed his opportunity at Survivor Series, so he won't screw up this time.

Edge is a wrestler who never gives up and who's used to coming back stronger after a failure.

7. Edge's Mindgame

4 of 10

Kane has only been outplayed in mindgames by The Undertaker in the past so Edge is doing something rarely seen before.

Edge is driving Kane nuts with his mindgames. Kane is not used to be such a victim so he is, in some way, fragile and it will harm him this Sunday.

The mindgame will continue at TLC and Kane might snap, which could be dangerous. But Edge knows how to deal with danger as he proved in the past on many occasions.

6. Paul Bearer

5 of 10

Usually, Paul Bearer's presence should help Kane, but the problem is he might not be at ringside this Sunday.

At TLC, Bearer will become a distraction for Kane, no matter if he reappears or not.

If his father comes back, Kane will try to protect him to prevent him to be kidnapped again. But if Bearer is still out of sight, Kane will try to know where he is and that will make him losing his focus on the match.

5. Edge's Wrestling Style

6 of 10

Edge's wrestling style is perfect for a TLC match. Not only he has the experience, but he has what it takes to win the match.

Mysterio is agile and athletic, but it won't help him in such a match; a 619 and a splash won't keep anyone down long enough to allow him to climb the ladder and grab the belt.

Del Rio has not proved yet he could perform well in a TLC match; he is a brutal mat wrestler and he won't be in an environment that will favor him, particularly because he is a submission moves specialist.

Kane won at his last Money In The Bank ladder match, but Edge was not in and it was a big upset; the Big Red Monster is slow and he won't repeat.

4. Kane will be the main target

7 of 10

Kane is the Champ and he will be the bigger man in the match. Naturally, he will be the main target and his three opponents will want to keep him down.

Edge, Mysterio and Del Rio know they have to keep Kane knocked out to stand a chance to win so they won't hesitate to use all the means necessary to do it.

But Edge will have the advantage in all that because he knows the game.

3. Edge's Experience

8 of 10

Edge knows the game. He will be on his favorite playground.

He is a pioneer of the TLC match and he perfected the way to use the tables, the ladders and the chairs.

Edge participated in 14 various ladder matches and he won 8 of them. And, more specifically, he is 4-2 in TLC matches.

In comparison, Kane has been in five ladder matches (1 TLC and 4 MITB), Mysterio only took part in one ladder match and Del Rio will be in his first this Sunday.

2. Edge Is the Ultimate Opportunist

9 of 10

If Edge is a master in ladder and TLC matches, he is also the Ultimate Opportunist. And, knowing that, the more in the battle, the merrier he is.

Edge built his reputation on taking advantage of everything and of everyone's weaknesses mentioned above.

With more contestants in the mix, there will be more confusion and Edge will never miss an opportunity.

He will miss no detail of the match and he will capitalize on each and every other's mistakes.

1. Spear! Spear! Spear!

10 of 10

Edge can hit with the spear at any moment at any place, including from ladders.

He can easily keep down three opponents with three spears at the right time.

The comment section is wide open to hear from you.

Do you think Edge will start his 10th World Title reign? If not, will Kane retain?

Do you think Mysterio or Del Rio can cause an upset?
