Candice Crawford Pictures: Meet the TV Star and Soon-To-Be Mrs. Tony Romo

Candice Crawford may not be a name you're familiar with, but trust me when I say you'll be glad you are now.

The blonde bombshell is officially engaged to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

Romo, who's been on the mend with a broken collarbone, may not be playing football right now, but I'd say he's winning off the field.

So let's take a very brief look at Crawford.

Candice Crawford is the sister of Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford.

Yeah, I've never seen it either, but amen for that.

Anyway, Crawford is also a former Miss Missouri and is currently a sports anchor for the CW affiliate (KDAF) in Dallas.

Her profile on KDAF's website says that Crawford "loves to run, play basketball, cook, go to Dallas Cowboys games and hang out with friends and family. And, oh yeah, she likes to watch her brother on 'Gossip Girl.'"

What do you know? So do I.

Minus the Cowboys games and Gossip Girl nonsense.

News of the engagement broke on Crawford's TV station when a picture of the reporter's ring was posted during the broadcast.

Romo apparently popped the question at Crawford's 24th birthday party with her family looking on.

The couple had been dating since the fall of 2009, shortly after Romo broke up with pop star/actress Jessica Simpson.

I guess even when the Cowboys aren't very good, being their quarterback obviously has its advantages.

Crawford competed in the Miss Texas Teen USA pageants in 2003 and 2005 and was the third runner-up both years.

Someone please show me the girls who placed ahead of her.

Because if all girls from Texas are this hot, I'm gonna make the short trek from Louisiana and settle down there.

Crawford now hosts the Up All Night segment on KDAF, which highlights the hot spots in the Dallas-Forth Worth area.

That's pretty intriguing considering she probably keeps Romo up all night as well.

What? I'm talking about the couple engaging in deep conversation.

When away from KDAF, Crawford works as the host of the Dallas Cowboys' weekend sports show, "Special Edition."

Call me crazy, but isn't that a conflict of interests?

After all, she'd probably be in the doghouse if she said anything bad about Romo.
