Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua vs. Rashad Evans Slated for UFC 129 in New Jersey

MMA Junkie reports that, hate it or love it, the underdog's on top, and he's gonna shine homie, until his heart stopped!

OK, MMA Junkie really reports that UFC 129 is happening in Newark, New Jersey around that time and the long awaited UFC Light Heavyweight Title fight between champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and "Suga" Rashad Evans will likely headline that card.

Just so you know, it's really not smart to count out Shogun just because this is his first title defense since avenging that controversial UFC 104 loss to Lyoto Machida.

Naturally, you can't have too many Jersey cards without a Jersey boy on the card, and as it happens, Kurt Pellegrino is free to wreck it up.

His opponent?

Gleison Tibau, who just so happens to be a pretty darned underrated fighter with the capabilities to outclass, knock out, or submit anyone that wants to test their luck.

To put it nicely, Pellegrino's not fighting a blow-through opponent.

He's fighting one tough-as-nails son of a gun who has been finished twice and submitted once but mostly has only lost because there were three rounds in his fights instead of four.

Pellegrino is coming off of the loss to George Sotiropoulos at UFC 116 while Tibau is coming off of the loss to Jim Miller in Austin at UFC Fight Night 23.

We all know who Rashad beat last to get his crack at Shogun.

Now, all four men will be in action in New Jersey.

Potential night of barnburning action?

I think that's exactly what we're in store for this March when Shogun returns to cages action.
