Sal Alosi: Did Zach Thomas' Allegation Result in Indefinite Suspension?
Sal Alosi's season-long suspension has now become an indefinite one.
Why?
Because the Jets claim they have just learned that Alosi was responsible for instructing players to stand in a row on the sidelines in an attempt to interfere with players on the punt coverage team.

Now first, lets evaluate this claim.
Is there any way we believe this?
That a strength coach single-handedly formulated a plan to interfere with the gunner on kick coverage?
Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland stated that the practice had been going on all year, and through 12 games not a single coach noticed?
This order came, at the very least, from a special teams coach, if not from the the top.
Even if not, it's because of the attitude allowed by the Jets and their coach, Rex Ryan—that somehow they are above the league's rules.
Even after getting caught on national television, the Jets attempted to deny a trip ever occurred.
Then they denied that Alosi and other team personnel had purposefully formed a wall on the sideline, even though that was blatantly obvious as well from the video.
Rex Ryan said he had no idea a wall was being formed. Watch the video. He's standing right next to them. Are you telling me he never looks to left?
Former Dolphins great Zach Thomas addressed that issue Tuesday when he told Miami radio station WQAM, “There’s four of them, side to side, on the edge of the coach’s zone. They’re only out there to restrict the space of the gunner. He was ordered to stand there. No one is foot-to-foot on the sideline in the coach’s box.”
When FoxSports also asked Thomas about the incident, he added, “That’s the reason the guy didn’t get fired. There was somebody that ordered that for the sideline.”
The Jets have seemingly validated Thomas' theory.
But one has to wonder, if Thomas had never called them out for what they had so obviously done, would they have bothered to extend Alosi's suspension?
My guess is no. The Jets only own up to something when they absolutely have to. And that's not the way it should be.
