Fantasy Football Week 15: Jason Campbell and Hot Pickups For Your Playoff Run

Frank FittipaldiDec 14, 2010

It is playoff time for fantasy owners and waiver wire pickups are extremely important for owners to win their matchups.

Many free agents had some big games and their are some nice fill-ins if any of your starters are injured.

Be sure to get your waiver claims in this week as they could be pivotal for you in the playoffs.

Here are the top pickups off waivers for Week 15.

Louis Murphy, WR, Oakland Raiders

Week 15 Matchup: Denver Broncos

Raiders' wide receiver Louis Murphy had success early in the season but he has been a ghost in recent weeks partially due to an injury.

Well Murphy is back on the map and Jason Campbell certainly found use out of No. 18 in Week 14.

Murphy caught six passes for 59 yards and a first half touchdown against the Jaguars. He makes a solid flex option for Week 15.

Tony Romo, QB, Dallas Cowboys

Tony Romo is out until Week 16 but it may be smart for owners to get their hands on him now. Romo has a great matchup in Week 16 against the Arizona Cardinals and can be big for fantasy owners late in the playoffs.

Jon Kitna has filled in nicely for Romo going 3-3 as the starter, but when Romo comes back, everybody knows he is the guy.

Add Romo and keep him on the bench for next week if you advance.

Jacoby Jones, WR, Houston Texans

Week 15 Matchup: Tennessee Titans

Jacoby Jones should have had two touchdowns but he dropped one in the end zone.

Regardless of his drop, Jones was targeted nine times and had five receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown. Monday night's touchdown was his second in two weeks.

Matt Schaub looked for Jones late in the game and may have some more confidence in No. 12 in Week 15.

Week 15 Matchup: Indianapolis Colts

Jaguars' backup running back Rashad Jennings has made the waiver list earlier in the season and he is back.

Owners probably did not give Jennings a look but they should after his Week 14 performance. Jennings carried the ball five times for 109 yards including a big 74-yard touchdown run against the Raiders.

The Jaguars should rely on the run against the Colts so give Jennings a look as he may make a decent flex option.

Jason Campbell, QB, Oakland Raiders

Week 15 Matchup: Denver Broncos

Despite the Raiders' loss to the Jaguars in Week 14, quarterback Jason Campbell did play very well.

Campbell was banged up and still managed to have a solid game. Campbell completed 21 of 30 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns.

Being Aaron Rodgers may be out with a concussion, Campbell may be a solid replacement for him in Week 15.
