Michael Vick: Why the Philadelphia Eagles Are the NFC's Best Team Under No. 7
Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles walked out of Cowboys Stadium all smiles after Sunday night's 30-27 victory. Dallas put up a fight but it wasn't enough to overcome the Eagles.
With Vick under center the Eagles have become the envy of the league. So much so that Cowboys running back Tashard Choice found Vick after the game had just finished and sought out his autograph while still on the field.
The Eagles are the it team this year that everybody wants to watch. Nobody wants to miss a snap because Vick has a chance to make a great play anytime he drops back to throw.

But while Vick grabs all the headlines, he isn't the only one making this team special.
LeSean McCoy has become Brian Westbrook 2.0 out of the backfield and should cross the 1,000-yard mark in his next game. DeSean Jackson is coming off a 200-plus-yard performance on just four receptions. And Jeremy Maclin is equally as explosive as Jackson, making the duo the fastest wide receiver tandem in the NFL.
Toss in Vick and the Eagles' skill position players are as good as any team in the league.
Whether or not Philadelphia finds itself in the Super Bowl will depend on Vick, McCoy, Maclin and Jackson. The four of them will have to continue to put a hefty amount of points on the board because the Eagles defense is not holding up their end of the bargain, although they have been without the injured Asante Samuel the past three games.
The Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints both have better records than the Eagles do, but there's no question that come playoff time nobody wants a piece of Vick. One of the NFL's most controversial figures is playing the second-best football behind Tom Brady.
Vick can now beat teams throwing the football, something that he couldn't consistently do in Atlanta. It's gotten to the point where opponents fear Vick's arm more than his legs.
The Michael Vick show has been magnificent this season, and as long as he stays healthy the Eagles are the favorites to come out of the NFC.
