Fantasy Football Week 15 NFL Waiver Wire Advice: Get 'Em or Don't Sweat 'Em
There were some unusual heroes on Sunday. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.
Alex Smith, QB, San Francisco 49ers
Smith threw for 255 yards on 17-of-27 passing with three touchdown passes. He has a tough draw next week against San Diego but has St. Louis and Arizona to close out the season. If you need a QB, he’s not a bad choice.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Ruling: Get ‘em.
Matt Flynn, QB, Green Bay Packers
Flynn didn’t put up any numbers to speak of (15-of-26 for 177 yards and an INT), but he has a decent chance of starting next week against New England. That’s not necessarily a good thing though with the way the Patriots have turned on a switch on defense. He has a lot of weapons, but I would have to think there are better options available in one-quarterback leagues.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.
Ryan Torain, RB, Washington Redskins
Torain will be the most popular waiver pickup this week after running for 172 yards against Tampa Bay. He added 10 receiving yards. You never know with Mike Shanahan, but Torain should be owned in all formats.
Ruling: Get ‘em.
Tim Hightower, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Hightower exploded for 148 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. With Carolina on deck, he should be owned in all leagues.
Ruling: Get ‘em.
Ryan Mathews, RB, San Diego Chargers
Mathews ran for 65 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries. He should continue to share the load with Mike Tolbert and should be owned in most leagues.
Ruling: Get ‘em.
Rashad Jennings, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jennings scored for the third straight week and also had 109 yards. He had just five carries, as the bulk of his yards came on a 74-yard touchdown run. He’s on fire but is still too risky to own in most leagues.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.
Arrelious Benn, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Benn caught four passes for 122 yards. He hasn’t done much to date, but with Detroit and Seattle in the next weeks, he may be worth taking a look at.
Ruling: Get ‘em.
Mike Sims-Walker, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
MSW caught two passes for 23 yards and a score. Despite the score, he’s not a good play next week against the Colts.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.
Louis Murphy, WR, Oakland Raiders
Murphy caught six passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. He was targeted a team-high 11 times. He’s not a bad play next week against Denver.
Ruling: Get ‘em.
Ruvell Martin, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Martin caught four passes for 73 yards and a touchdown. With Seahawk receivers dropping like flies, it’s not a bad idea to stash him.
Ruling: Get ‘em.
Josh Morgan, WR, San Francisco 49ers
Morgan caught three passes for 82 yard and a score. He was only targeted three times, so he’s not a no-brainer addition, especially with San Diego as their opponent next week.
Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.
