Guinness Premiership Predictions: Round One
The first weekend is looking very difficult to predict, and itโs hard to know how each team will fare on day one.
The weekend kicks off with the London Double Header at Twickenham and Iโve gone for Wasps and Harlequins to win their respective matches, but not by much. London Irish will be coping with a new coach and new direction after losing Brian Smith, whilst Quins should be too strong (practically at Home) for Sarries.
Slightly controversially perhaps, Iโve gone for Worcester to beat Northampton at Franklins Gardens. The Warriors have a good record at that venue, and although Saints fans will be raucous as Premiership rugby returns, I fancy Worcester to cause an upset.

In the west country derby, I can see Bath laying down a marker for the season in a hard-fought, not particularly pretty win, and I canโt see anything other than a Sale victory at Kingston Park.
The tie of the round though has to be Game Six where the Tigers visit Kingsholm. Gloucester will be looking for revenge for the last minute semifinal defeat last season, and with a more settled squad and coaching staff than Leicester, I think theyโll get it.
Here are my SuperBru picks for the first round:
Game One: London Irish v London Wasps: London Wasps by 14
Game Two: Saracens v Harlequins: Harlequins by four
Game Three: Northampton Saints v Worcester Warriors: Worcester Warriors by threeย
Game Four: Bristol Rugby v Bath Rugby: Bath Rugby by eight
Game Five: Newcastle Falcons v Sale Sharks: Sale Sharks by 13
Game Six: Gloucester Rugby v Leicester Tigers: Gloucester Rugby by eight
