Jamaal Charles and His 10 Most Exciting Videos on YouTube

Bill RobbinsDec 11, 2010

The Kansas City Chiefs signed their star running back to a nice five-year extension on Saturday and, in the process, locked up arguably the best player on their team.

Throughout both his college and NFL career, Charles has made some back-breaking runs and highlight-worthy plays at times. And since he will be in Kansas City for awhile longer, he will likely have many more jaw-dropping plays to add to his career highlights.

It was hard to narrow it down, but I knocked it down to Charles's best 10 plays of his entire football career that were found on YouTube to this point. Enjoy the plays.

10. 4-Yard TD Run vs. Jacksonville Jaguars: 2010, Week 7

1 of 10

This touchdown run was not nearly as exciting as his many other runs on this list, but it was still fun to watch.

He really displays his ability to get short yardage in the red zone on this run and finishes off a nice drive.

9. Punishing Tackle on Ohio State's A.J. Hawk: 2005

2 of 10

This is one of the only highlighted plays where you will see Charles playing some defense.

The University of Texas standout pops future NFL linebacker A.J. Hawk and sends a message that not only can JC rush with the best of them, but he can also lay the wood when he feels like it.

8. 46-Yard TD Run vs. University of Central Florida: 2007

3 of 10

In one of his shortest runs of this list, Charles outruns yet another defense on this trip to the end zone.

I am beginning to think that after watching his videos from college and watching him play in the NFL, it's the same result: defenses just cannot contain the guy.

7. 72-Yard TD Reception vs. Iowa: 2007

4 of 10

Jamaal really shows off his versatility in this long touchdown score against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He is a matchup nightmare for anyone who tries to defend him over the middle, and he shows why he is a legitimate receiving threat in this video.

6. 75-Yard TD Run vs. Oklahoma State: 2007

5 of 10

On this play, Charles simply follows his blocker, then just hits another level once he gets to the open field.

He caught Oklahoma State playing way out of position on this particular play, and he definitely makes them pay for it with this heart-pounding run.

5. 86-Yard TD Run vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers: 2007

6 of 10

This is yet another play that showcases just how fast Mr. Charles is on the football field.

He almost looks as if he is running in slow motion in this play as everyone else is trying hard to catch up with him.

4. 56-Yard TD Run vs. San Diego Chargers: 2010, Week 1

7 of 10

This play was the only one on this list from the current '10 season.

Charles made Chargers safety Eric Weddle look silly as he spun him around on the way to a big touchdown that would help catapult the Chiefs to a win that night.

3. 76-Yard TD Run vs. Buffalo Bills: 2009, Week 14

8 of 10

JC makes a mockery out of the Bills defense with this electrifying run.

Another play where he showcases his speed and shows that he is easily one of the best open-field runners in the game today.

2. 97-Yard TD Kickoff Return vs. Pittsburgh Steelers: 2009, Week 11

9 of 10

Did I mention that Charles has also returned kicks for TDs as well?

He catches the Steelers sleeping on this runaway return that really showcases his amazing track sprinter speed.

1. 56-Yard TD Run vs. Denver Broncos: 2009, Week 17

10 of 10

This run was easily one of the most complete rushing plays I have ever seen turned in by a Chiefs running back. Charles is about to break two tackles, nearly falls down and still outraces the pursuing Denver defenders to paydirt. It was a thing of beauty.
