Fantasy Football: Week 14 Quarterback (QB) Rankings

This morning, we updated our fantasy rankings for Week 14. Here are some notes on quarterbacks and pass defenses heading into this week's games:

• Saints quarterback Drew Brees has thrown for 300-plus yards in five of his past six games. In his first six games this year, Brees threw only one 300-yard game.
• In his first nine games of the season, Colts quarterback Peyton Manning threw only four interceptions. In Week 13, Manning threw four interceptions. And over his past three games, Manning has thrown a total of 11 interceptions.
• Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers has thrown 11 touchdowns and no interceptions in his past four games.
• Denver's Kyle Orton entered Week 13 as the NFL leader in passing yards. He finished trailing the leader by 222 yards and fell to fourth place.
• Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has thrown 219 pass attempts in his past seven games. During that span, Brady has thrown 17 touchdowns and no interceptions.
• After Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo suffered a broken collarbone, receiver Roy Williams made a comment about Jon Kitna being "just as good." Although that is untrue, the numbers are pretty close between Kitna (148-226, 1,703 yards, 11 TDs, 8 INTs) and Romo (148-213, 1,605 yards, 11 TDs, 7 INTs).
• Panthers quarterbacks have combined for seven touchdowns and 18 interceptions in 12 games. Rookie Jimmy Clausen has thrown only one touchdown pass in 200 attempts.
• Chicago's Jay Cutler has 16 touchdowns and only five interceptions in the team's eight wins when he has played. In their three losses, Cutler has thrown one touchdown and five interceptions.
• Kansas City's Matt Cassel, who had an appendectomy on Wednesday, is unlikely to be able to play on Sunday. Since the team's bye (Week 4), Cassel has thrown 19 touchdowns and only one interception.

8. Kyle Orton, Broncos (at ARI)
9. Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers (vs. CIN)
10. Matt Ryan, Falcons (at CAR)
