Fantasy Football Week 14: Joe Flacco And The Most Intriguing Matchups

Frank FittipaldiDec 8, 2010

Week 14 in the NFL is upon us and it is time for fantasy owners to buckle down and make the right decisions for their playoff matchups.

Some leagues may be starting the playoffs while others are finishing up the regular season.

Baltimore Ravens' quarterback Joe Flacco has a great matchup, and here are the other top matchups for Week 14.

Chris Johnson, RB, Tennessee Titans

Week 14 Matchup: Indianapolis Colts

Titans' running back Chris Johnson has bee struggling recently, and his Thursday night matchup with the Colts is the perfect opportunity for him to get back on track.

Johnson has totaled 20 carries for just 58 yards in his last two games. Fantasy owners need him to get going for the playoffs.

The Colts are fourth worst against the rush giving up over 142 yards per game so Johnson should have plenty of room to run.

DeSean Jackson, WR, Philadelphia Eagles

Week 14 Matchup: Dallas Cowboys

Colts' wide receiver Reggie Wayne caught 14 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys in Week 13, so this is a great matchup for DeSean Jackson

The Cowboys are fourth worst against the pass and have given up 25 touchdown passes—second most in the NFL.

DeSean Jackson should have a big day in Dallas.

Michael Vick, QB, Philadelphia Eagles

Week 14 Matchup: Dallas Cowboys

Right ahead of DeSean Jackson is his teammate Michael Vick.

The MVP candidate has a good matchup this Sunday and fantasy owners should expect another big outing from No. 7.

Look for Vick to capitalize on one of the worst pass defenses in the league.

Week 14 Matchup: Houston Texans

Joe Flacco and the Ravens will take on the Houston Texans on Monday night.

Joe Flacco is a lock for Week 14 as the Texans give up the most passing yards per game and have given up the most passing touchdowns with 27.

Flacco and the Ravens will get back on track after their Week 13 loss to the Steelers.

Peyton Hillis, RB, Cleveland Browns

Week 14 Matchup: Buffalo Bills

The Bills give up over 170 rushing yards per game—the worst in the NFL.

Browns' running back Peyton Hillis was held under 80 total yards and failed to reach the end zone in Week 13.

Despite the struggles last week, Hillis should have no problem getting back on track this Sunday.

No. 40 has been one of the biggest fantasy surprises this season.
