Well, if you thought Thaksin Shinawatra was running a madhouse over at Manchester City, you probably didn't know what was to come.

In a matter of hours, City went from being a crisis club lurching from one mishap to another under Thaksin Shinawatra to the richest club on the planet, courtesy of Dr.Sulaiman and the Abu Dhabi United Group.

There's nothing wrong with being an ambitious club, every club has the right to reach for stars, Hull has every right to dream of playing in the Champions League but every now and then, we all need a REALITY CHECK!

It's hard for most sane football fans to overcome the shock of looking at Real Madrid's Brazilian sensation, Robinho move to Eastlands for a staggering £32.5m. The Buzz indicates Dr.Sulaiman's aids offered an 'all you want' bid to Real Madrid for Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

Thankfully for the sane part of the largely insane money mongering transfer season, the deal didn't go through.

"Ronaldo has said he wants to play for the biggest club in the world, so we will see in January if he is serious."

So I missed out on the football news for a day and suddenly Manchester City is the biggest club in the world?

"I would think $240million (£135m), But why not? We are going to be the biggest club in the world, bigger than both Real Madrid and Manchester United."
