A Joke About Gigli (and Tiago)

Sep 2, 2008

Anyone who has ever seenย Ben Affleck and J-Loโ€™s classically pitiful cinematic plutonium bomb, Gigli, knows that its one of the worst movies ever painfully recorded on film.

Itโ€™s so bad, it makes Affleckโ€™sย horrible holiday follow up, Surviving Christmas, look like Itโ€™s a Wonderful Life.

Gigli is the punch line for many, manyย jokes. Itโ€™s universally regarded as perhaps the most abhorrent waste of money the film industry hasย ever seen. Itโ€™s Hindenburg bad. Itโ€™s Costner bad. Itโ€™s possibly worse than some tropical diseases bad.ย Just ask Affleck. Even heโ€™ll tell you.

I have a joke for you about Gigli thoughโ€ฆ

Whatโ€™s the only thing worse than having to sit on yourย ass for an hour watching Gigli?ย ย

How aboutย just sitting on your ass period because youโ€™re locked inย a bathroomโ€ฆ

Oh, and if your name is Gigli, so Americanย people are always bringing up that shitty movieโ€ฆ

Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, chairman of Juventus,ย was locked in a bathroom by one of his players. One of the most powerful men in Italian football, a king among executives,ย was forced to sit on an uncomfortable throne for over an hour by one of his more temperamental employees.

Who was the culprit?

Portugese midfielder Tiago.

Tiago reportedlyย locked the clubโ€™s chairman in the bathroom because he was upset about possibly beingย loaned to a team (Everton)ย that wouldnโ€™t play in this yearโ€™s Champions League.

Apparently Tiago really wanted to play in the Championโ€™s League, which is interesting if you consider how poorly he performed for Juventus last season.

Tiago is clearly insane with his desire to play in the Championโ€™s League though. Which is really funny because heย certainly didnโ€™t want to earn his way there. He didnโ€™t score anyย of the goals that got them thereย (in fact, he hasnโ€™t scored for Juventus yet).

But he does have goals, like to play in the Championโ€™s League for instance. Heโ€™s funny.

Definitely crazy.

But, I doย like his style. Heโ€™s a go-getter that Tiago, thatโ€™s for sure.

Alessandro Del Piero eventually freed Giovanni after he heard him yelling from another room. The weekย prior to the incident, the 33-year-oldย Del Piero hadย announced he would play at Juve until heโ€™s 40.

Iโ€™m betting Gigli will make sure that he does too. He owes Del Piero now; the man saved him from the pooper. Plus, if Del Piero doesnโ€™t want to go, he can always just put the President back there again.

As disgusting as that all sounds, Iโ€™d still rather watch it all go down than be forced to watchย Gigli again.
