Premiership Transfer Rumours: Speculation Over Robbie Keane and David Beckham
The January transfer window is growing ever closer with teams looking to bolster squads before a second half of the season push, or to cover an injury crisis.
Whatever the case, the January transfer window creates plenty of rumours, some more probable than others. Here are a few of the Premier League rumours from the last few days.
None of these moves will necessarily happen, they are, after all, just rumours.
Robbie Keane

Robbie Keane has found his chances limited since returning to Tottenham from Liverpool after an unsuccessful stint on Merseyside, even spending time on loan to Celtic last season.
Because of his lack of playing time, and Harry Redknapp's assertion that the striker would probably be on the way out in January, Wolves are believed to be interested in the 30 year-old.
Keane began his career at Wolves, scoring 24 times in 74 matches for the club. He may now be moving back to the club, with £6 million believed to be the asking price. Keane has had £75 million spent on him over the course of his career, and that amount may well be rising soon.
Leicester were also reported to be interested in Keane, a move he is said to have turned down.
Ashley Young

Aston Villa's winger is wanted by both Tottenham and Liverpool, who are prepared to offer £15 million for the player.
Tottenham may offer Robbie Keane in order to get their man, while Liverpool might offer Ryan Babel, but Gerard Houllier doesn't want to sell, saying not even a Gareth Bale swap would get him to sell Ashley Young.
Ashley Young has 18 months left on his current contract and recently stalled on a new deal, a move that may force Villa to sell the 25 year old.
David Luiz

23-year-old centre-back David Luiz has a contract with Benfica until 2015, but could be on the move as early as January, with Manchester City, Chelsea and AC Milan all reported to be interested.
Luiz has a £40 million buy out clause in his contract, but £25 million, as was offered by Man City in the summer, could be enough to win Luiz's services.
Luiz seems to be undecided as to whether or not he wants to stay in Portugal, having said that he doesn't know where he'll be in January, before saying that he's happy at Benfica.
Mamadou Sakho
4 of 10
Mamadou Sakho first captained PSG at the age of 17 and he hasn't looked back since. His impressive displays, full of pace, strength and aerial ability have won him plenty of big suitors.
Arsenal, AC Milan, Juventus and Liverpool are all interested in signing the 20 year-old centre-back, who is valued at £8 million.
Wenger has been after Sakho for a while, but may be frustrated as Sakho looks set to sign a new deal at PSG, with a warning that the club must improve in order to keep him.
Tomasz Kuszczak

Manchester United's reserve goalkeeper has had few opportunities at Old Trafford, and doesn't seem to be viewed as Edwin van de Sar's successor with Anders Lindegaard available to play from January, and Ben Amos also in with a shout.
His lack of opportunities may lead to him leaving the club, with both Wigan and Aston Villa said to be interested in bringing in the Polish goalkeeper.
Momo Sissoko

Juventus's midfielder could be reunited with Gerard Houllier as the new Aston Villa manager looks to strengthen his squad after watching his side slip closer and closer to the relegation zone.
Sissoko previously played for Houllier at Liverpool, before moving to Italy for £8 million in 2008. Schalke are also interested in signing the Mali international, but he is thought to favour a move back to the Premier League.
Ryan Shawcross

Stoke City's centre-back has been impressive this season, to the extent that both Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in signing the 23 year old.
Liverpool are looking to strengthen their back line, and the clubs' scouts have been watching him in recent weeks. United are keen on resigning a player they sold to Stoke in 2008 before he had even made an appearance for the club. Because of the deal they negotiated, United have first refusal for Shawcross.
Tony Pulis insists that Shawcross isn't for sale, unless they are offered ridiculous money.
Ronaldinho
8 of 10
AC Milan's Brazilian play-maker is wanted by Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson. Liverpool haven't had a great season so far and are looking to add to their squad.
Ronaldinho claims to be happy at Milan, despite being out of favour this season. AC are currently top of Serie A and Ronaldinho seems to be prepared to fight for his place in the team.
A move to Liverpool would guarantee Ronaldinho first team football and would give him a chance to show his ability in the Premier League for the first time.
Glen Johnson

Liverpool's right-back has been linked to Tottenham, and another spell with Harry Redknapp, who previously managed him at Portsmouth.
Johnson is set to be replaced by Rod Fanni, from Rennes, which could aid Johnson's exit from Anfield.
It isn't just Tottenham who are out for Johnson. Both Bayern Munich and Juventus are interested in signing the England man.
David Beckham

Football's biggest superstar, David Beckham, is a veteran of the January transfer rumour section. For the last two years he has gone on loan from LA Galaxy to AC Milan, but this year he has been primarily linked to English clubs.
Everton's David Moyes stuck his neck out and said that all Beckham had to do was call him and they'd try to work out a deal. Beckham turned this offer down, reportedly due to his love of Manchester United.
Sven-Goran Eriksson spoke to Beckham's agent to ask if there was a chance of the former Real Madrid star moving to a Championship team. His agent said no.
