NFL Week 13 Low Lights: The One List You Don't Want to Be On

Chuck SteakDec 7, 2010

Each week, there are players who step up, make big plays and end up on highlight reels. This week, it was the likes of Tom Brady, Troy Polamalu and Matt Ryan.

On the other hand, there are those who do the opposite. Some guys embarrass themselves or really blow it, and those guys make it on this list.

Get ready, because here is the NFL's Week 13 low light reel.

Leon Washington

Leon Washington is one of the best active return men in the NFL today, but he didn't look like it on Sunday.

After beating the punt coverage on a return, Washington decided he'd celebrate a little bit prematurely, only to get run down by Panthers punter Jason Baker and stopped short of the end zone.

The Seahawks went on to score anyway, but nonetheless, it was an embarrassing moment for the guy.

Brett Favre

After un-retiring again, Favre has had a forgettable final season. However, it shouldn't tarnish his legacy too bad.

Sunday, he had a shot to get his season back on track somewhat against the Buffalo Bills' weak defense. However, less than two minutes into the game, Favre sprained his shoulder while throwing an interception on his only pass of the game.

In relief, Tarvaris Jackson threw for 187 yards and two touchdowns as the Vikings rolled to a 38-14 victory. Overall, Favre watched the team's biggest victory of the season from the sideline.

Peyton Manning

Once considered by many to be the best quarterback in the NFL, Manning is having easily the worst season of his career since he was a rookie.

Manning threw four interceptions on Sunday, including one late in the fourth quarter that handed Dallas the game, continuing his streak of bad play.

The Colts are in danger of suffering a Super Bowl hangover and missing the playoffs after being dominant for so long.

Playing the Raiders on Sunday, the Chargers needed a win for several reasons. One, to keep up with the KC Chiefs. Two, to continue their December winning streak. And finally, to get another divisional win and increase their chances of being a playoff team.

However, they fell to the Raiders, 28-13.

In the loss, the Chargers running game managed a meager 21 yards, five of them by Rivers. The MVP candidate can't do everything by himself, and he was let down on Sunday.

The Chargers now have a rough road to make the playoffs.

The Jets Defense

The Jets had a chance to beat the Patriots, take the divisional lead and prove that they may very well be the best team in the NFL.

However, Tom Brady make an absolute joke out of the Jets defense. They were gouged for 45 points and embarrassed in prime time.

New York still has a good shot at being an AFC Wild Card, but they lost a lot of credibility Monday night.
