Inside the numbers

  • Wow, did Dwayne Bowe ever let owners (myself included) down last week. I think he’ll make amends this week. Same goes for Brandon Lloyd. ***Update*** Unfortunately Matt Cassel will likely miss the game so I am tempering my expectations for Bowe. As for Lloyd, without Josh McDaniels, I think he goes down a few slots too.
  • Greg Jennings has 393 yards and five touchdowns in his past three games and a date with Detroit.
  • Sidney Rice looked great against Buffalo, but the Giants present a much tougher challenge.
  • Miles Austin and Roy Williams should be more active with Dez Bryant out and Jason Witten limited by ankle injuries.
  • Earl Bennett has become Jay Cutler’s new favorite target, and thus is the best play among Chicago’s WRs against a shaky Patriots pass defense.
  • Jacoby Ford’s lone catch was a touchdown to salvage his fantasy value for those who gambled on him. He should be more productive against Jacksonville.
