Tim Tebow: Potential Trade Destinations for the Denver Broncos QB
Tim Tebow began his pro career in very un-Tebow-like fashion: as a low-key, behind-the-scenes backup who rarely saw the field. With yesterday's firing of Josh McDaniels, Tebow has returned to his rightful place in the public eye.
Would we have it any other way?
Where does the former college football god fit in the Broncos' future plans?

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Tebow will always be attached to McDaniels, the coach who traded away three draft picks to land the polarizing star in the back end of the first round.
Some believe Tebow could be the 2011 starter for the Broncos. Others think it's in Denver's best interest if he remains as a situational, short-yardage quarterback. There's even speculation he'll be traded, with the incoming coach having no allegiance to the former Heisman Trophy winner.
You may think the latter won't happen, but with the NFL's unpredictability, you never know.
Let's have some fun with this...where could Tim Tebow land if he's sent packing from Denver?
(Percentages are hypothetical. This is if the Broncos actually state they are trading Tebow.)
Chances: 15 percent
I'd be shocked if Tebow went to the Twin Cities, but the uncertainty at the Vikings quarterback position at least makes it a possibility.
Brett Favre won't be coming back in 2011 (right?), and the verdict is still out on what the Vikings will do with Tarvaris Jackson.
Tebow would have weapons around him and could operate as a game manager; all he'd have to do is hand the ball off to Adrian Peterson and make the easy-read throws.
Chances: 25 percent
The quarterback position is in flux right now in Tennessee. It looks like Vince Young and Jeff Fisher can't coexist, and Rusty Smith sure isn't the answer.
This is a long-shot, but depending on the coordinator and if Fisher is fired at season's end, Tebow could fit as a game manager in Nashville with Chris Johnson as the team's primary threat.
Tennessee has a solid offensive line in place, a group that could speed the growing process for Tebow.
Chances: 40 percent
Tebow to Jacksonville would be a desperation move for the Jaguars...an attempt to fill the seats in a stadium that is rarely a packed house.
Jacksonville is in the heart of Tebow Country, and there was speculation that he'd be selected by Jacksonville in last year's draft.
David Garrard was on the hot seat after the team's 3-4 start, but he's shown shades of 2007 during a stretch in which Jacksonville has won four of five. If the Jaguars stumble down the stretch and miss the playoffs, Tebow could be returning home—where he'd be welcomed with open arms.
Chances: 45 percent
Tebow heading to the Pacific Northwest may come as a surprise, but there are a lot of reasons why the move could make sense for the Seahawks.
Matt Hasselbeck is 35, and I'm not sure the organization is sold on Charlie Whitehurst as their quarterback of the future (He's thrown for 166 yards and one score in his career).
Head coach Pete Carroll worked wonders with Matt Leinart, another weak-armed, southpaw while at USC, and he'd love Tebow's intangibles.
The team as a whole is not as far along as others in the NFL, but the running game has promise, they have the young franchise tackle in Russell Okung and there are some emerging stars on defense.
Chances: 75 percent
If Tebow does get moved, aren't the Patriots the perfect team for him? Bill Belichick loves guys like Tebow and could use him in different looks, possibly even as a tight end in the red zone.
McDaniels' future is unsure, but he'll likely go back to New England as an offensive assistant of some sort, and he'd obviously lobby to bring Tebow along with him.
The Patriots would be the one team that could get the most out of Tebow.
Realistically, Tebow's got about an 80 percent chance to stay in Denver. He's the "quarterback-in-waiting," and although he was mainly endorsed by McDaniels, the front office must have liked things about him as well.
