Inside the numbers:

  • Michael Vick repeats as the top ranked QB. He's firing on all cylinders and Dallas just does not have what it takes to slow him down.
  • Aaron Rodgers is on fire. He has 11 touchdown passes and one touchdown run in his past four games. Plus, he is averaging 304.6 passing yards with 14 touchdowns in five career games against the Lions.
  • The Colts are at .500, but I expect Peyton Manning to bounce back after his four interception game. He has 27 career TD tosses against Tennessee.
  • I think Joe Flacco will find Houston's defense much more to his liking than the Steel Curtain.
  • I'm a little fearful that the Broncos will run all over Arizona, making Orton an afterthought again.
  • After getting burned by Sam Bradford last week, I am extra cautious this week, especially going up against New Orleans.
  • Even if Brett Favre starts this week's game against the Giants, I don't expect him to finish it. I don't like Favre or Tarvaris this week.
  • Alex Smith replaces Troy Smith in the Niners’ starting lineup and in the rankings.
  • Matt Cassel will likely miss the game after undergoing an appendectomy. Matt Hasselbeck takes his spot.
