Fantasy NFL: Week 13 Injury Report Updates
Here are some up-to-date injury reports for those fantasy owners looking to make last-minute, split-second decisions that could decide their fantasy fate. As owners hope to make the playoffs, any and all information is of the need-to-know basis. Always keep track of the injury report to decide which players to or not to play on game day.
Superstars such as Brandon Marshall, Pierre Thomas and Percy Harvin are inactive.
Others such as Greg Jennings and Adrian Peterson are active.
Brandon Marshall, Miami Dolphins
1 of 13
The superstar wide receiver will miss his second game with a hamstring injury.
Even though the Dolphins won last week and are still alive in the playoff race, they don’t seem at all pressed to rush back their best offensive player.
Unfortunately for his owners, Marshall’s disappointing start in Miami resembles the Heat’s.
Pierre Thomas, New Orleans Saints
2 of 13
Pierre Thomas will miss his ninth consecutive game with the ankle injury.
Thomas entered the season tipped as one of the league’s breakout running backs. Unfortunately, his injury set him back far enough to land him as one of the season’s biggest fantasy busts.
Austin Collie, Indianapolis Colts
3 of 13
Collie will miss the shootout with the Dallas Cowboys due to his concussion.
Collie started the season as one of the best fantasy wide receivers in the game, but has since been plagued by injury after injury.
If Collie can return for the fantasy playoffs, he could be the difference maker a fantasy owner needs to win in the playoffs.
Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
4 of 13
A one-time victim of the injury-prone label, Peterson refuses to let a bum ankle keep him out of a fantasy matchup against the Buffalo Bills at home. If Peterson is healthy enough to play, he must be in all fantasy lineups with this tasty matchup to feast on. Peterson and the rushing attack will continue to be the focal point of Leslie Frazier’s offensive scheme. Those who used their waiver priority on Toby Gerhart will have to sit tight and hope for more damage to be done to Peterson’s ankle.
Percy Harvin, Minnesota Vikings
5 of 13
The Vikings’ troublesome season continues as the do-it-all threat Percy Harvin will miss a nice matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
Those who worried in the preseason about Harvin’s migraines creeping up at some point have finally been proven right. Like Harvin, fantasy owners now have headaches of their own trying to find a suitable replacement on game day.
Kenny Britt, Tennessee Titans
6 of 13
Britt will miss his fifth consecutive game with a hamstring injury.
Britt is targeting a Week 14 return, which will be most beneficial for his and Randy Moss’ fantasy owners. With the Titans still in the playoff race, Kerry Collins would become a nice fantasy QB addition heading into the fantasy playoffs with Britt and Moss at his disposal.
Greg Jennings, Green Bay Packers
7 of 13
As expected, Jennings is active against the San Francisco 49ers.
Jennings has been one of the top fantasy wide receivers this season working alongside fantasy staple Aaron Rodgers.
Expect solid production out of Jennings as he has been the apple in Rodgers’ eye.
Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers
8 of 13
Gates was listed on the Chargers’ website as out earlier this morning with the foot injury.
As it stands now, Gates is the dreaded game-time decision.
Owners hoping to wait on the Hall of Fame tight end should look to add Randy McMichael, who would step in to replace Gates.
Dexter McCluster, Kansas City Chiefs
9 of 13
McCluster is finally active again. The explosive rookie will benefit from playing opposite Dwayne Bowe, who has been absolutely unstoppable over the past two months. McCluster’s return is most beneficial for owners playing the Kansas City defense and special teams, as McCluster can take one back to the house at any given time with his speed and elusiveness.
Ryan Torain, Washington Redskins
10 of 13
Torain will miss another game with the hamstring injury.
Keilan Williams will start against the New York Giants. Although this isn’t the best matchup for Williams, Maurice Jones-Drew did shred the Giants last week. Williams will receive almost all of the touches. Not much more a fantasy owner could ask for from a player who is likely just a flex option.
Colt McCoy, Cleveland Browns
11 of 13
McCoy is inactive for the second straight week, meaning Jake Delhomme will start for the Cleveland Browns.
This move shouldn't affect fantasy owners at all. The only Browns skill player that should be in fantasy lineups is Peyton Hillis, who has proven to be matchup and quarterback proof. Expect a couple of Dolphins defenders to be run over this afternoon.
Mike Sims-Walker, Jacksonville Jaguars
12 of 13
Sims-Walker was declared out earlier in the week due to an ankle injury. This is just a reminder for those who were unaware of the situation.
Kassim Osgood will start in his place opposite Mike Thomas.
Marion Barber, Dallas Cowboys
13 of 13
As expected, Barber will miss this week, and most likely next week, with a calf injury. Expect Felix Jones to carry the bulk of the load but also for Tashard Choice to get touches as well. Choice is an underrated runner and could start on a few teams in this league. Choice could potentially get goal-line carries with Barber out. If he is available in your fantasy leagues, he makes for an interesting add heading into the fantasy playoffs.
