NFL Sneaky Week 14 Fantasy Football Pick-Ups to Stay Ahead of the Curve
If your roster is pretty much set this week you may want to take a peek ahead to next week. I know you hear the phrase one opponent at a time, but thatโs not the case in fantasyland. While people are struggling to fill out this weekโs roster, be proactive and get a step ahead of them. Here are some targets with favorable Week 14 matchups.
Josh Freeman, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
He has a decent matchup this week against Atlantaโs 26th ranked pass defense (265.3 yards allowed per game), but has an even more enticing one next week against 29th ranked Washington (280.8). If youโre rolling with Sam Bradford this week, Freeman could be a nice substitute when Bradford faces New Orleans next week.
Anthony Dixon, RB, San Francisco 49ers
Brian Westbrook was likely the guy who was snatched up following Frank Goreโs hip injury. What if Dixon has a stronger game? What if Westy gets banged up? You could be stashing next weekโs top waiver claim before he gets to waivers.
Danario Alexander, WR, St. Louis Rams
Alexander is coming off a four catch, 95 yard game. If he delivers again against Arizonaโs 24th ranked pass defense (262.3), heโll be a hot commodity next week.
Devin Hester, WR, Chicago Bears
Hester had three grabs last week for 86 yards. He squares off against Detroit. If he does well again, heโll be a top add next week, especially since the Bears are facing New Englandโs league-worst pass defense.
Jeremy Shockey, TE, New Orleans Saints
Shockey could return this week against Cincinnati. If he does well against their struggling defense, heโd be a popular guy next week.
Atlanta Falcons Defense
The Falcons could be floating out there because they donโt have a good matchup against the Bucs. If you look ahead a week though, youโll see they are facing Carolina. Gotta like that matchup. A deeper sleeper pick would be Denver, who faces Arizona.
