NFL Rumors: Philadelphia Eagles Plan To Restructure DeSean Jackson's Contract
CSN Philly reports that the Philadelphia Eagles are planning to reward Jackson and make him one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL, but "when the time is right."
The Eagles are not expected to restructure his deal until the offseason because of the strained future the NFL has with the collective bargaining agreement set to expire in March. The expiring CBA is the reason why Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb only got a one-year extension earlier this year and the reason why starting Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has yet to receive an extension with his deal expiring this year.
The Eagles would like to extend Jackson's deal, but the "30 percent rule" makes it more difficult. The "30 percent rule" restricts the percentage that a team can raise a player's base salary in any contract extension. The rule is in effect because this year is an uncapped season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
DeSean's current contract will pay him $480,000 this season.
After being a Pro Bowl pick last season, DeSean is having another solid season. His total receptions will take a hit, but this year through 11 games he has 762 yards, five touchdowns and 38 receptions. Last night against Houston, Jackson had three receptions for 84 yards, with a long of 33. Jackson also missed one game this season due to a concussion he received in Week 6 versus Atlanta. He now wears a specialized helmet to combat any future head injuries.
Thoughts have been that Jackson is frustrated. After Sunday's loss to Chicago, DeSean sat at his locker, distraught, and would not talk to any media members.
Jackson has stated in the past that he understands why the Eagles have yet to extend his deal and is not in any way frustrated with it.
