NFL Week 13 Picks: Will the New York Jets Take Over in the AFC East?
Week 13 is upon us and the playoffs are starting to take shape.
The Patriots, Jets, and Falcons have dominated all season long, while the Colts have struggled to stay atop the AFC South.
The Jets and Patriots will meet this Monday night in one of the biggest games of the year. This is just one of the many important games this week.
Here are the picks for Week 13.
Houston Texans at Phildelphia Eagles
1 of 16
The Eagles are coming off a disappointing loss to the Bears while the Texans ended their four-game losing streak.
However, the Texans do not have the defense to keep up with Michael Vick and the Eagles.
Houston has one of the worst pass defenses in the league and Vick will exploit it.
Prediction: Eagles 31, Texans 20
Buffalo Bills at Minnesota Vikings
2 of 16
The Bills travel to Minnesota this week to take on the Vikings. Bills' wide receiver dropped a game-winning touchdown in Week 12 in overtime against the Steelers, a heart breaker for Buffalo.
The Vikings are coming off a big win against the Redskins and will look to build on that this Sunday.
The home crowd will be a factor in this one.
Prediction: Vikings 24, Bills 20
Cleveland Browns at Miami Dolphins
3 of 16
The Browns are not a playoff team, but they have played well this season, mainly because of running back Peyton Hillis.
The Dolphins have struggled this year, but got a big win at Oakland in Week 12.
This should be a close game but i like the Browns in an upset win in Miami.
Prediction: Browns 23, Dolphins 21
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans
4 of 16
The Jaguars are coming off a tough loss to the Giants so I expect them to bounce back against the struggling Titans. The Titans were shut out in Week 12 by the Texans and have not played well in recent weeks.
They are unstable at the quarterback position, and opposing defense have just been focusing on running back Chris Johnson, who is also struggling.
Prediction: Jaguars 26, Titans 17
New Orleans Saints at Cincinnati Bengals
5 of 16
The Saints had their early struggles but have found their step winning their last four games. The Bengals are 2-9 and "terrible" as wide receiver Terrell Owens would say.
The Saints' defense is tough against the pass, so Carson Palmer is going to struggle to find success this week.
Prediction: Saints 34, Bengals 17
Denver Broncos at Kansas CIty Chiefs
6 of 16
The Chiefs were handled by the Broncos in Week 10 when Denver embarrassed them 49-29. However, this time around they are playing in Kansas City.
The Chiefs are looking for some revenge and they will turn to the hottest receiver in the NFL, Dwayne Bowe
Bowe is coming off a three touchdown game and will look to repeat his Week 10 performance at Denver this week in Kansas City.
Prediction: Chiefs 27, Broncos 20
Washington Redskins at New York Giants
7 of 16
The Giants ended their two game losing streak in Week 12 against the Jaguars and they will look to build on that this Sunday against the Redskins.
The Redskins have one of the worst secondaries in football so Eli Manning should have no problem finding success, even with his injured receiving corps.
Prediction: Giants 28, Redskins 14
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions
8 of 16
Maybe it is time people start believing in the Chicago Bears. The Bears are 8-3 and still stop the NFC North.
Jay Cutler and the Bears travel to Detroit to take on the Lions in Week 13 where they will win their fifth straight game.
Prediction: Bears 21, Lions 10
San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers
9 of 16
The Packers are coming off a huge three-point loss to the Falcons in Week 12 and they need to bounce back this Sunday.
After starting 0-5, the 49ers have won four of their last six games but they do not have enough to take out the Packers.
Aaron Rodgers will be on his game this week.
Prediction: Packers 30, 49ers 16
Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers
10 of 16
These division rivals met earlier and the season and surprisingly, Oakland came out on top. The Raiders have played a lot better this season than in recent years but they have dropped two-straight to fall below .500.
This is a big game for both teams but the Chargers are one of the hottest teams in the league.
Prediction: Chargers 31, Raiders 24
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
11 of 16
The Falcons and Bucs will meet in Week 13 in a huge NFC South match-up. The Falcons are probing every week why they are the team to beat and the Bucs continue to improve despite a loss in Week 12.
Matt Ryan will lead the Falcons to win their sixth straight game this Sunday.
Prediction: Falcons 27, Buccaneers 16
Dallas Cowboys at Indianapolis Colts
12 of 16
The Cowboys have played well under interim head coach Jason Garrett and should be on a three game winning streak. However, costly turnovers on Thanksgiving day cost them the game.
The Colts are losers of two straight and are dying for a win. They are home this week and will finally get back on track.
Prediction: Colts 31, Cowboys 21
St. Louis Rams at Arizona Cardinals
13 of 16
The Rams are 5-6 and tied with the Seahawks for first place in the NFC West. This week they travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals, who are coming off a loss to the 49ers on Monday night.
The Cardinals have struggled all year and after Derek Anderson's outburst on his post-game press conference, who knows how they will play this week.
Prediction: Rams 23, Cardinals 13
Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks
14 of 16
The Carolina Panthers' season could not end any quicker, as they have the worst record in the league at 1-10. The Panthers are having a dreadful season and they cannot wait for it to be over.
The Seahawks have had their struggles as well but fortunately for them, they play in the weak NFC West. Matt Hasselbeck and the Seahawks will go to 6-6 after this Sunday.
Prediction: Seahawks 24, Panthers 7
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens
15 of 16
The Ravens were winners in their first game against the Steelers and Week 13 is another huge AFC North battle. First place is on the line as both teams are 8-3 and playing well.
This should be a close one that comes down to the wire highlighted by both defenses.
Prediction: Steelers 17, Ravens 16
New York Jets at New England Patriots
16 of 16
Week 13, this Monday night, the biggest game of the year. The New York Jets travel to New England to take on Tom Brady in the Patriots in an AFC East battle for first place.
Both teams are 9-2 and both teams do not like each other.
This is going to be a fun game to watch as Mark Sanchez and Tom Brady will go head-to-head.
The Jets won 28-14 in their Week 2 match-up but a lot has changed since then.
Prediction: Patriots 30, Jets 27
