Rex Ryan: Love Him or Hate Him, He Is Buddy's Son
Rex Ryan probably has this warning label fastened to him somewhere:
Remember, he IS the son of Buddy.
You'd think that next Monday night's little social get together with the New York Jets and New England Patriots doesn't need much hype.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Oh, wait a minute. We're talking about Rex Ryan here as one of the principals. Yes, good ole Rex, the Matador of Madness, the Baron of the Bad-Mouth, the Duke of F-bombs.
Seems RR doesn't think there's enough hot sauce on this upcoming spicy matchup between two teams that really and truly don't care much for each other.
The Son of Buddy just happened to drop this gem the other day to Newsday:
"I came here to win. As much as I respect and admire Bill Belichick, I came here to kick his ass and that's the truth. That's just the way it is!"
Kick The Hoodie's ass? You'd wonder if somewhere, Belichick is simply giggling and doing what he does best—plot.
Boston scribes became quite curious and wondered upon the Hoodie this week and queried about the last time someone threatened to "kick his ass."
"I don't know," responded Belichick.
He's probably telling the truth. Not many coaches have flat out declared their intentions to do that; an irate husband perhaps, but other NFL coaches, not so much.
Keep in mind, that's just Buddy being Buddy.
Perhaps Belichick should have brought back a modified version of the famous Denny Green speech and blurted out something like: "Rex Ryan is who we thought he was."
Still, Big Rex can threaten the Hoodie all he wants but this is simply a case of the Evil Genius letting his henchmen do his dirty work. After all, why kick someone's ass when you can have your henchmen take it out on his henchmen?
This is just all a continuation of the Rex Ryan persona.
Did we mention that he IS the son of Buddy?
Ryan became notorious this summer in the HBO production of Hard Knocks, where Ryan displayed that he has a doctorate degree from the Jon Gruden University of F-bombs.
Consider these Rex Ryan gems from Hard Knocks:
"It's about leading the league in f--king wins."
"If we play our best we will beat every team in the f--king league at their best."
"We know we're better than you. We don't give a f--k if you know it or not."
"We're gonna beat the f--k out of you."
Oh my.
Ryan even drew the attention of the retired father Tony Dungy, who was aghast by all that language. He scolded Rex on the record.
To which Rex responded that perhaps Dungy should mind his own business.
But forget Dungy. Rex even got a call from mom, who thought he might want to tone it down.
As if the wife of Buddy hasn't heard any of that before.
Which brings us back to Monday night.
"I'm not really worried about anybody else," Belichick told everyone this week.
Really?
"I'm just trying to get this team ready to play. I'm not surprised they expect to win and they're confident they're going to win. So are we," saith the Hoodie.
Geez, what a shocker. Both teams expect to win.
So there's Ryan, huffing and puffing and wanting to kick some ass.
And there's The Hoodie, simply being The Hoodie.
Fact is Ryan is so very perfect as the head coach/antagonist for that team called the J-E-T-S.
Love him or hate him, he's simply in a New York state of mind.
And read the warning label:
"He IS the son of Buddy."
