Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Thoughts:
- Antonio Gates returned to the lineup in Week 12, picking up four receptions for 46 yards. As long as he’s playing, he’s the top tight end.
- It’s easy to imagine the Colts-Cowboys game breaking down into a shootout. Witten’s coming off a 10 reception, 99 yard day and leads all tight ends with 60 receptions (Brandon Pettigrew is second with 55). Consider him a good play in all formats.
- With how bad the Washington Redskins’ passing defense has been coupled with the injuries piling up to the Giants’ receiving corps, you have to like Kevin Boss’ chances of being a productive TE this week. Consider him a low-end TE1.
- The unknown in who will get the bulk of the targets between Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski keeps them both as TE2s this week.
- Tony Moeaki returned in Week 12, but had just one catch for six yards (of course, it did go for a touchdown). Consider him a low-end TE2 until he once again proves otherwise.
- Until Zach Miller proves he’s healthy and returns to the field, I’m leaving him off the rankings. Of course, if he does dress he’ll be worth playing, so monitor the news this week.
