NFL Power Rankings Week 13: Focus on the New York Jets

At my site, www.GuysNation.com, I do a weekly power ranking of all 32 NFL teams. It's a hugely subjective process in which I try to account for a team's strength of schedule, margin of victory, good wins and bad losses.

Where do the New York Jets currently rank?

Before their Week 7 bye, the Jets were looking very strong, losing only one fight to the top-tier Baltimore Ravens. They had wins over the Patriots during that span, but otherwise didn't face a lot of tough teams.

After their bye week, things haven't been inspiring for the Jets at all.

Getting shut out at home by the Packers when they had two weeks to prepare? Terrible. Green Bay is a top-tier team, but a shutout at home is unacceptable.

Going to overtime against the Detroit Lions and nearly losing? I almost thought the Jets were going to end up with a tie against Detroit.

Only beating Cleveland by 6 in the follow-up to the Lions game continues to be a head-scratcher. 

I thought for sure that the Jets were going to rebound and do something definitive against the Houston Texans, but all New York could muster was a three-point victory.

A win over the Cincinnati Bengals was expected, especially as it was a home game for the Jets and with the Bengals sitting in the No. 31 spot, it's not exactly something to celebrate about.

Sure, they've won the past four games, but their week one loss to the Ravens looked better than any of those four wins, which makes me wonder whether something happened during the bye week or whether they were deflated by the loss to the Packers.

So after being at No. 4 two weeks ago, where did the Jets move after their uninspiring game against the Houston Texans and then an expected victory over the Bungles?
