Week 13 Fantansy Football Injuries and Replacements To Get You To The Playoffs

Gladys Louise TylerNov 30, 2010

WOW!  I am simply going to say that I was flustered with the idea of Thanksgiving…giving…and giving, which

would explain the completely outrageous Thanksgiving picks!  Dez Bryant did not even see the football until late

in third quarter…T.O. isn’t a slouch but he wasn’t even an average receiver either with 3 catches and 17 yards!

(good thing only an “average” corner covered him)…and Tom Brady hair and all got his and then some…a

perfect passer rating and 4 touchdowns (obviously Smith was in the spirit of GIVING)!

So what is in store for lucky week 13? Fantasy playoffs are rapidly approaching and injuries are knocking

players down like the Big Lebowski in a bowling alley.  For the injuries and replacements:

Welcome Back Brian Westbrook

Frank Gore is out for the season.  His replacement Brian Westbrook aptly took over for him at the game

in Arizona BUT this week the 49ers play the Packers at Lambeau Field.  Now Westbrook is used to the

cold coming from Philly.  But we are talking about a West Coast team going East playing in the

COLD…bitter COLD…of Lambeau Field!  Can you pick up Westbrook and hold him, because after this

game the 49ers have a favorable match-ups.  Bitter Cold…Lambeau Field…Green Bay Packers you have

to have a better option right?

Philp Rivers Seriously WHO IS THIS MASKED MAN

Vincent Jackson is out for 2 weeks.  Okay what is this about players holding out…coming in…and getting

hurt?  It is a recurring theme that is getting old and tired on my fantasy stats!  So did you hold on to

Malcom Floyd…Legedu Naanee…anyone who can run and catch a ball seems to be the preference of Philip

Rivers.  He out Peyton Manning, Peyton Manning Sunday and there is no reason to believe he is going

to stop anytime soon.  The best option is to have Philip Rivers, second best option is anyone healthy he

can aim the ball in their direction (with reasonably good hand-eye coordination)

Toby Gerhart Making a New 1-2 Punch in Minnesota

Adrian Peterson limped off and is having further test done on his ankle.  Toby Gerhart filled in nicely.

This week Minnesota play the Buffalo Bills, and while I believe the Bills are a better team than their

record indicates…they are horrible at stopping the run.  There is no reason to believe that even if AP is

healthy Gerhart won’t get his and maybe a little something extra.

Ben Roethlisberger apparently hurt his ankle.  Does anyone believe he won’t play Sunday…anyone?

Andre Johnson Showing His Less Kinder Less Gentler Side...

And one final note Thursday night is Texans versus Eagles.  Matt Schaub has been a fantasy

disappointment while Mike Vick has been a fantasy YAHTZEE!  My money this week is on Andre Johnson

coming out and showing the league he is more than a puncher and Mike Vick showing that he is still in

the game!
