Fantasy Football: Peyton Hillis, Tom Brady and the Top Performances from Week 12
Another week has gone by in the NFL and another week of great performances. Peyton Hillis continues to run wild while Tom Brady had a field day on Thanksgiving.
Dwayne Bowe is the hottest receiver in the league, and Arian Foster continues to prove that he is certainly not a Week 1 fluke. If owners were lucky enough to draft Foster or to hang on to Bowe, then you are definitely in contention for a playoff spot.
Here are the top performances from Week 12.
Jamaal Charles, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
1 of 6
The Chiefs' running game is dominant, and it is due to the power of Thomas Jones and the slick-and-quick running for No. 25, Jamaal Charles. Charles ran all over the Seahawks in Week 12 with 173 yards on 22 carries. Charles also reached the end zone.
Charles is now second in the NFL in rushing just behind Arian Foster. Charles is an extremely talented back, but the only flaw is that he splits carries with Thomas Jones. After Week 12, it is clear who the playmaker is.
Charles and the Chiefs are home against the Broncos in Week 13.
Sam Bradford, QB, St. Louis Rams
2 of 6
Rookie quarterback Sam Bradford is playing well beyond his years, and he had another great day in Week 12 against the Broncos. Bradford threw for his first 300-yard game including three touchdown passes.
Bradford continues to impress with his stellar play as a rookie quarterback, a position we have seen many kids struggle with coming out of college. Bradford is a special one and should see plenty more games like he did in Week 12.
The Rams take on the Cardinals in Week 13.
Arian Foster, RB, Houston Texans
3 of 6
Texans' running back Arian Foster has been one of the biggest surprises in the NFL this season, and fantasy owners are thrilled with him. Foster is on top of the league in rushing and had another big day in Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans.
Foster carried the ball 30 times for 143 yards while also hauling in nine passes for 75 yards. By no means should Foster be removed from your starting lineup for the remainder of the season.
Foster and the Texans travel to Philly to take on the Eagles in Week 13.
Peyton Hillis, RB, Cleveland Browns
4 of 6
Browns' running back Peyton Hillis remains one of the top backs in the NFL and is just punishing opposing defense. Hillis rumbled for 131 yards on 26 carries including three first half touchdowns in Week 12 against the Panthers.
Hillis is a top five fantasy back and now has 11 rushing touchdowns on the year while also being a big part of the Browns' passing game with 46 receptions.
No. 40 makes an excellent start every week and Week 13 is no different as the Browns travel to Miami to take on the Dolphins.
Dwayne Bowe, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
5 of 6
Chiefs' wide receiver Dwayne Bowe is the hottest receiver in the NFL with a league-leading 14 touchdown receptions. Bow had a monster game in Week 12 with 13 catches for 170 yards and three touchdowns—a season high. Quarterback Matt Cassel loves Bowe as 14 of his 22 touchdown passes have gone to No. 82.
Bowe is putting up incredible numbers and has carried fantasy owners during the 2010 season. Many have been anticipating Bowe's breakout season, and it his finally here, and Bowe is doing more than breaking out. He is establishing himself as an elite receiver in the NFL.
Fantasy owners are excited for Week 13 as Bowe and the Chiefs will take on the Broncos. Why the excitement? Bowe caught 13 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns in Week 10 against Denver.
Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots
6 of 6
Tom Brady is the top performer from Week 12, shocking right? Brady has been a fantasy stud again this year as he is having another big season. Brady lit up the Lions on Thanksgiving for 341 yards and four touchdowns with a perfect 158.3 quarterback rating.
Brady has thrown a touchdown in every game this season and has 11 in the last four games. Brady seems to be getting better as the season progresses so fantasy owners should stick with him all the way.
Brady and the Patriots are home this Monday night against the New York Jets. Both teams are 9-2 and battling for first place. Brady will bring his A-game as this will be the biggest game of the week.
