Kansas City Chiefs (Chiefs Schedule)

Opponent Defensive Ranks

Seattle Pass Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 30th - TDs Allowed T-17th

Seattle Rush Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game T-13th – TDs Allowed T-24th

Kansas City Offensive Cast

Matt Cassel (QB Week 12 Ranking: No. 15)

2010 Season: 173/291 – for 2,074 yards & 18 TDs

Normally, I’d be hard-pressed to tell you to start Matt Cassel, but against an awful pass D like the Seahawks have, he could be looking at around 250 yards or so with a couple of TDs.

Thomas Jones (RB Week 12 Ranking: No. 22)

2010 Season: 156 carries for 644 yards & 5 TDs || 5 receptions for 40 yards & 0 TDs

Seattle’s rush D is good at limiting yardage, but they do give up TDs on the ground pretty easily. If the Chiefs get down around the goal-line, Jones will almost assuredly punch one in.

Jamaal Charles (RB Week 12 Ranking: No. 10)

2010 Season: 139 carries for 848 yards & 2 TDs || 30 receptions for 356 yards & 1 TD

“The Ostrich” only has one TD in the past four games, but he’s also put up 100 total yards or more in each one of them as well.

With Seattle’s pass D being as bad as it is, the Chiefs will likely use Charles more than Jones in this game to try and take advantage of the Seahawks deficiency.

Dwayne Bowe (WR Week 12 Ranking: No. 1)

2010 Season: 45 receptions for 715 yards & 11 TDs

Bowe is on fire like no other in the league right now, scoring 10 touchdowns in the last six games with at least one in each of them. I can’t believe that streak will end against one of the bottom tier pass Ds in the game.

He’s definitely hit his stride so run with him while you can.

Chris Chambers (WR Week 12 Ranking: Not ranked)

2010 Season: 13 Recs for 122 Yards & 1 TD

Chambers has averaged just over 1.5 catches a game this year. Need I say more?

Dexter McCluster (WR Week 12 Ranking: Not ranked)

2010 Season: 15 receptions for 147 yards & 1 TD

McCluster will be back from his high ankle sprain this week, but hold off on using his electricity until he proves he’s completely over his injury.

Tony Moeaki (TE Week 12 Ranking: No. 13)

2010 Season: 31 receptions for 378 yards & 2 TDs

Moeaki is back from his one-week absence as well and will likely be used right away. Take a chance if you’re hurting at the tight end position.

Seattle Seahawks (Seahawks Schedule)

Opponent Defensive Ranks

Kansas City Pass Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 25th - TDs Allowed T-17th

Kansas City Rush Defense – 2010: Yards Allowed/Game 12th – TDs Allowed T-8th

Seattle Offensive Cast

Matt Hasselbeck (QB Week 12 Ranking: Not ranked)

2010 Season: 189/314 – for 2,110 yards & 8 TDs

Hasselbeck might be tossing the pill around quite a bit in this one, but without Mike Williams on the field to throw to, don’t expect a whole hell of a lot out of him.

Marshawn Lynch (RB Week 12 Ranking: Not ranked)

2010 Season: 118 carries for 417 yards & 2 TDs || 10 receptions for 68 yards & 0 TDs

With Lynch’s decline in game-action and the Chiefs being pretty stout against the run, don’t bother with the Fugly one this weekend.

Justin Forsett (RB Week 12 Ranking: Not ranked)

2010 Season: 93 carries for 407 yards & 2 TDs || 24 receptions for 201 yards & 0 TDs

Forsett is starting to see the ball a bit more in games, but not enough to throw him in your starting lineup.

Mike Williams (WR Week 12 Ranking: Not ranked)

2010 Season: 52 receptions for 654 yards & 1 TD

Big Mike Williams is dealing with a foot problem and hasn’t practiced all week. Even if he does get in the game, he’ll be too hobbled to be effective.

Sit him until he’s healthy.

Ben Obomanu (WR Week 12 Ranking: No. 36)

2010 Season: 15 receptions for 231 yards & 3 TDs

Obomanu has stepped up his game the past few weeks and will take on the WR1 role with BMW likely sitting out.

The Chiefs pass D is less than mediocre, so if you’re looking for a dark horse to throw in there this weekend, Obomanu could be your guy.

Deon Butler (WR Week 12 Ranking: Not ranked)

2010 Season: 25 receptions for 265 yards & 3 TDs

Butler should have an increased role this weekend as the WR2, but probably not enough to help your fantasy team.

Golden Tate (WR Week 12 Ranking: Not ranked)

2010 Season: 10 receptions for 151 yards & 0 TDs

The Golden Child is finally back from his injury and could see a nice chunk of playing time the rest of the season.

Give him a game or two to see what he does before thinking about playing him though.

John Carlson (TE Week 12 Ranking: Not ranked)

2010 Season: 25 receptions for 254 yards & 1 TD

Carlson was supposed to be a major focus for the Seahawks offense this year, with the key phrase being “supposed to be.”
