Week 12 Fantasy Football Quarterbacks: Who To Pick Up, Drop and Ignore
Fantasy football playoffs are coming up quick. Every win and point counts right now for many of you wishing to make the cut or clinch a spot, or even if you won't make it but want to play spoiler to someone.
Two reminders this week before we start.
First, in leagues which have yet to see the trade deadlines pass, they should be coming up quick.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Secondly, remember there are three games on Thanksgiving. Detroit plays New England, Dallas plays New Orleans and the Jets play the Bengals. All six of these teams have fantasy relevant players, so make sure your line-ups are set before you leave for grandma's turkey and pumpkin pie.
Here we go with quarterbacks of note as we head into Week 12.
Pick-Ups
Jon Kitna, Dallas Cowboys
Sounds like a broken record, but if you are in need of a quarterback it would be hard to find someone on the wire playing better at quarterback right now.
Kitna has scored seven touchdowns in the last two games and has only thrown one interception. Tony Romo's injury has not improved enough to expect him back any earlier than the last two games of the year, if at all.
Kitna is still available in a whopping 72% of Yahoo! leagues, making him appear in this spot two weeks in a row.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buffalo Bills
Another repeat appearance, due only to the fact that he is still available in a huge number of leagues.
Fitz passed for 316 yards and four touchdowns on Sunday as the Bills won another game. He has produced numbers all year.
Don't let a team's win-loss record blur things when it comes to fantasy players. Only the stats matter, and there is no reason to grab a Rusty Smith or a Tony Pike as some are doing if Fitz is available.
Fitzpatrick is still available in 48% of Yahoo! leagues.
Ignore
Rusty Smith, Tennessee Titans
Don't. Just don't.
While Vince Young is now set to go on IR and Kerry Collins still expected to miss a few weeks, Rusty is the guy. Even with talented players around him, however, there is no reason to expect serviceable numbers here.
Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
Updated medical opinion on Romo still shows a fracture in his collarbone. Odds of him playing this year are too slim to keep him on a roster spot during playoff time.
Drop/Trade Bait
Vince Young, Tennessee Titans
Young is expected to go on IR with a torn thumb ligament.
Even if that fails to materialize, Young lost his starting job after acting like a child after Sunday's game. Perhaps he truly injured the thumb by sucking on it.
Jason Campbell, Oakland Raiders
Seems as if Campbell can and will be benched in any game if he is having issues out there. You can't put your trust into him as a starting quarterback during fantasy crunch time and should look elsewhere.
