Fantasy Football Week 12 Rankings: Quarterbacks

Bruno Boys Fantasy FootballNov 22, 2010

For what he’s done this season when he’s played, and how well the team is playing now despite having a lot of new starters on both sides of the ball, is it time to consider Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick as an MVP candidate?

Vick has 16 total touchdowns and just one turnover—a lost fumble—and the Eagles are in first place in the NFC East. Just 15 months ago, this scenario seemed more unlikely than Ryan Leaf mounting a successful comeback, yet here we are entering Week 12 and Vick and the Eagles are flying high.

Continue reading our fantasy football Week 12 quarterback rankings to see where Vick and the rest of the 31 quarterbacks rank.

1. Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints) at Dallas

After losing to the Cleveland Browns at home in Week 7, the New Orleans Saints have really turned things around in their last three games, especially quarterback Drew Brees.

Since the loss to Cleveland, the Saints have won three straight and Brees has thrown eight touchdowns with four interceptions in those three games.

We should expect a fourth consecutive multiple-touchdown game from Brees this week against the Dallas Cowboys.

Dallas is one of the worst defenses against opposing quarterbacks from a fantasy standpoint, as the Cowboys are giving up around 18 fantasy points per game.

Point Projection: 22 points

2. Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) at Atlanta

With seven touchdowns and no interceptions in his last two games Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has really picked it up recently. Not like he was bad before that, but still it’s nice to see him play up to the potential many thought he had entering the season.

More good games are on the way for Rodgers, including this week against the Atlanta Falcons.

Atlanta is giving up 244 passing yards per game and they’ve allowed opposing quarterbacks to post double-digit fantasy performances in their last five games.

Point Projection: 21 points

3. Tom Brady (New England Patriots) at Detroit

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady continues to prove he can produce regardless of who’s around him.

With Randy Moss gone and Wes Welker having a mediocre season, Brady is still playing well, having gone five games without a turnover and having multiple-touchdown games in each of the last three weeks.

The Detroit Lions present Brady and the Patriots with a favorable matchup. The Lions are giving up 23.7 points per game and against opposing quarterbacks are allowing almost 15 fantasy points per game.

With as well as Brady and the rest of the New England offense are playing we would expect him to skew those average upwards even more.

Point Projection: 20 points
