Griffin dropped 44 points and 14 rebounds on the Knicks in a 124-115 loss last night. He was the star of the show, despite the Clippers' defeat.
He dunked all up in the grill of Timofey Mozgov of the Knicks. He not only dunked over him, but put his hand in the face of Mozgov as he jammed it in his face.
He actually didn't dunk the ball, but actually just threw it through the hoop for the bucket and the foul.
"Randy [Foye] passed the ball to me at the right time and Mozgov kind of helped me get up a little bit once I got on top of him," Griffin said to the media after the game. "I just tried to throw it in because I knew I couldn't get it to the rim."
It caught the eye of the Knicks' star player, Amar'e Stoudemire, who talked about the play after the game.
"That was actually incredible," Stoudemire said to the media. "That was a play that definitely sparked the crowd and sparked us. We weren't expecting that. I've had a few of those in my career, so I can understand the feeling he's going through right now. I've been in those shoes before."
"I remember when Blake was in college and he attended my skills academy camp. I definitely saw a lot of me in him then," Stoudemire said. "He's playing well for a rookie. This is his breakout game, and he's going to be very good."
I'm sure Mozgov will have nightmares of Griffin dunking on him for some time.
