WWE Superman John Cena: 7 Superstars Who'd Make The Ultimate Doomsday!

Montique DavidDec 10, 2010

John Cena is at this time the most untouchable Face in all of professional wrestling.

While most of us in the IWC think that his act is stale and he needs to drop the "SuperCena" act, I think he is lacking what every great hero is lacking: a supervillain. I wrote an article about it a little while ago.

For every Superman, there's a Doomsday. And here are the top seven candidates to be that Doomsday.

7. Drew McIntyre

1 of 8

The Sinister Scotsman has the size, strength and the backing of the all-powerful chairman of WWE. Here is the rundown.

6'5" 256 pounds

Former Intercontinental Champion

Former WWE Tag Team Champion

Finisher: Future Shock DDT

6. Tyler Reks

2 of 8

T-Reks. Bruising powerful wrestler, not to mention that his burning hammer is one of the coolest looking finishers in the business!

6'3" 256 pounds

Finisher: Burning Hammer

5. Ezekiel Jackson

3 of 8

Freakishly built. A monster in the ring and one of the most devastating powerhouses in the WWE today.

6'4" 309 pounds

Finisher: The Book of Ezekiel

4. Sheamus

He should actually be a lot higher on this list. Being billed as the one person Cena hasn't defeated one on one should have him No. 1.

However his ho-hum title reigns and a feud with Santino really doesn't scream Monster Heel. His King Of The Ring win should be a step in the right direction, though.

6'6" 272 pounds

Two-time WWE Champion

2010 King of the Ring

Finisher: Brogue Kick, High Cross

3. Alberto Del Rio

5 of 8

He's Alberto Del Rio. But you, you already know that. He's been hot every since his debut, and after joining the flagship show (which seems to be a forgone conclusion by the end of next year), he should be right in line to challenge Cena.

6'5" 263 pounds

Finisher: Cross Armbreaker

2. Tyler Black/Seth Rollins

6 of 8

He's going to bring a nice move set and great look to WWE and if they use him right, he can be a huge star in the making.

I'd personally love to see him as a sidekick to a heel turned Triple H, but with his unorthodox style, he could easily be the one guy to take out SuperCena.

6'2" 222 pounds

Finisher: God's Last Gift (Small package driver)

1. Mason Ryan

7 of 8

In my opinion, the best suited to be Doomsday to Cena's Superman is none other than FCW's own Mason Ryan.

Described as the second coming of Batista, he's definitely got the size, the look, and hopefully the skills to back up being SuperCena's Doomsday.

6'6" 280 pounds

Finisher: Torture Rack, Rock Bottom

Conclusion

8 of 8

Bottom line is that we know that Cena has no problem putting over new, young talent. (Just see how big of stars he's made Sheamus and Wade Barrett into).

So having a new face who can cleanly beat "The Champ" would be a huge thing for WWE. Because Cena's problem is not his SuperCena act, it's not having a super villain.
