NFL Picks Week 11: Thursday Night Football and Predictions For Every Game
NFL Picks are here for Week 11.
Thursday night football continues this week, with the Chicago Bears visiting the Miami Dolphins.
In other action, The Houston Texans visit the New York Jets, the Indianapolis Colts match up with the New England Patriots, and the New York Giants travel to face the Philaelphia Eagles.
It will be an exciting week in the NFL, despite the small number of divisional matchups (the Giants-Eagles game is the only important one).
So, with the early start this week; it's time to make some picks.
Miami Dolphins (-1) Over Chicago Bears
1 of 17
Miami Dolphins (-1) Over Chicago Bears
Tyler Thigpen will surprise people tonight; the kid can play.
But if Cutler can cut down on the interceptions (possible, but not likely), I see this going differently.
I'll work under the assumption that Cutler will turn the ball over at least twice, and the Dolphins capitalize.
Dolphins 26, Bears 20
Pittsburgh Steelers (-7.5) Over Oakland Raiders
2 of 17
Pittsburgh Steelers (-7.5) Over Oakland Raiders
You can't beat Pittsburgh with the run, and everything Oakland does on offense relies on getting the ground game going.
The Raiders are improving, but this is a bad matchup for them.
Steelers 30, Raiders 16
New York Jets (-7) Over Houston Texans
3 of 17
New York Jets (-7) Over Houston Texans
See: Raiders, Oakland.
Arian Foster won't be able to run on the Jets and Andre Johnson will be (somewhat) shut down by Darrelle Revis.
And the Texans secondary is awful.
Bad matchup for Houston.
Jets 31, Texans 20
Baltimore Ravens (-10) Over Carolina Panthers
4 of 17
Baltimore Ravens (-10) Over Carolina Panthers
The Ravens are better than the Panthers at every position on the field.
10 points is a lot, but this is Carolina.
Baltimore 34, Carolina 10
Tampa Bay Bucs (+3) Over San Francisco 49ers
5 of 17
Tampa Bay Bucs (+3) Over San Francisco 49ers
Josh Freeman is better than Troy Smith.
And the Bucs are better than the Niners, hands down.
Bucs 27, 49ers 20
Washington Redskins (+7) Over Tennessee Titans
6 of 17
Washington Redskins (+7) Over Tennessee Titans
The Redskins aren't as bad as they looked on Monday night, and the Titans are struggling.
Great value pick here.
Redskins 23, Titans 20
Detroit Lions (+7) Over Dallas Cowboys
7 of 17
Detroit Lions (+7) Over Dallas Cowboys
The most underrated team in the NFL (Detroit) against the most overrated (Dallas).
Don't mistake the Cowboys for a good team after one solid showing.
This is another terrific value pick.
Detroit 27, Dallas 24
Green Bay Packers (-3) Over Minnesota Vikings
8 of 17
Green Bay Packers (-3) Over Minnesota Vikings
The Packers are coming off three straight wins (including one over the Vikings), while Minnesota is coming off a bad loss to the Bears.
This could go either way, but I'll take Aaron Rodgers (this decade) over Brett Favre any day.
Packers 28, Vikings 24.
Buffalo Bills (+6) Over Cincinnati Bengals
9 of 17
Buffalo Bills (+6) Over Cincinnati Bengals
I've said it once (actually, about 50 times); I'll say it again.
Carson Palmer is not a good quarterback anymore.
Cincinnati 23, Buffalo 21
Cleveland Browns (+1.5) Over Jacksonville Jaguars
10 of 17
Cleveland Browns (+1.5) Over Jacksonville Jaguars
The Browns only lose to quality teams.
Despite a 5-4 record; the Jaguars are not a quality team.
Browns 24, Jaguars 13
Arizona Cardinals (+8) Over Kansas City Chiefs
11 of 17
Arizona Cardinals (+8) Over Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs have been struggling lately, and eight points is a lot.
Chiefs 26, Cardinals 20
Seattle Seahawks (+12) Over New Orleans Saints
12 of 17
Seattle Seahawks (+12) Over New Orleans Saints
The Saints should roll here, but I will never take a team minus-12 in an NFL game, where anything can happen.
Saints 28, Seahawks 17
St. Louis Rams (+3) Over Atlanta Falcons
13 of 17
St. Louis Rams (+3) Over Atlanta Falcons
The upset of the week.
I really like Sam Bradford, and the Falcons aren't as good as everyone is saying.
Rams 23, Falcons 20.
Indianapolis Colts (+3.5) Over New England Patriots
14 of 17
Indianapolis Colts (+3.5) Over New England Patriots
The Patriots can be beaten through the air.
Peyton Manning is pretty good.
Colts 34, Patriots 28
New York Giants (+3.5) Over Philadelphia Eagles
15 of 17
New York Giants (+3.5) Over Philadelphia Eagles
Take last week's explosion by the Eagles and the Giants' implosion against Dallas out of the equation, and you'll see that the Eagles shouldn't be favored here.
The Giants had an off-week, but if they can keep their turnovers down; they are the best team in the NFC.
Giants 30, Eagles 28
San Diego Chargers (-10) Over Denver Broncos
16 of 17
San Diego Chargers (-10) Over Denver Broncos
The Chargers are back.
And they will demolish Denver.
Chargers 31, Denver 20
