Thoughts

  • The Pittsburgh Steelers are among the best defenses in the league, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if many of the Raiders drives get stopped short (the Steelers are tied for eighth with 17 field goals allowed).  Janikowski is tied for the most field goals with 22 (with Dan Carpenter).  With a big leg, he could be in line for another big day.
  • Ever since he went 1-4 in Week 6, Akers has gone 9-9 in field goals and 11-11 in extra points.  He continues to be a great option in all formats.
  • While Ryan Succop has gone just 13-17 this season, he is going up against an Arizona team that has allowed the most field goals in the league (24).  He’s worth using as a low-end option in all formats.
  • Over his last five games, Dan Carpenter has gone 17-18, including two field goals from over 50 yards.  He’s a tremendous option this week, as always.

What are your thoughts on these rankings?  Whose too high?  Whose too low?
