2011 NFL Draft: The Top 100 Eligible Prospects

The scouting process for the NFL Draft can be many different things—a meat market, a stock market of sorts, a picture that develops slowly over time—but most importantly, it’s always extremely unpredictable.

Trying to handicap which 21- and 22-year-old young athletes are best equipped to handle the transition to professional football can be a daunting task to say the least.

NFL franchises spend millions of dollars every year on scouting the collegiate ranks for future talent, yet every team has felt the wrath of wrongly evaluating a young prospect, some much more so than others.

As a simple college football fan, without all the resources of a pro scout, it can be even more difficult trying to handicap college players as pro prospects. However, there are always certain young men who stand out from the crowd as some of the elite prospects in the country.

We’ve still got a little over five months until the 2011 NFL Draft, and a lot will change during that time frame. But here’s a look at 100 prospects who look like they have some solid NFL credentials.
