Week 11 Fantasy Football Quarterbacks: Who To Pick Up, Dump and Ignore
It's that time of year again. Most fantasy leagues now have only three or four weeks left before the fantasy playoffs begin, meaning it's time to make a lot of tough roster decisions.
Key injuries can be killer as playoff seedings are decided. Some of you might already have clinched a spot, but now have to consider the possibility of some of your superstars being benched in the final NFL games of the season as starters are rested.
Here are some quarterbacks that might be on your radar screen as these moves are made going into Week 11.

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Pick-Ups
Troy Smith, San Francisco 49ers
This might be the Smith the 49ers have been needing.
He's putting up big yardage and has not thrown a pick in his two starts. Considering their record all but assures late-season play by their starters, and the fact that Smith has talented players around him, anyone with QB concerns toward the end of the fantasy season should pick him up.
Smith is currently available in a sick 91% of Yahoo! leagues.
Tyler Thigpen, Miami Dolphins
A good chance Thigpen will continue as the Fins starter for the rest of 2010.
In 14 games for Kansas City in 2008, Thigpen put up 2608 yards passing with 18 touchdowns and another 386 yards rushing for three more TDs.
If he sticks as Miami's starter you should be able to expect similar numbers. Certainly a good option.
Thigpen is currently available in 99% of Yahoo! leagues.
Jon Kitna, Dallas Cowboys
Interim head coach Jason Garrett found the blown fuse in the Dallas Cowboys, as Kitna led young talent such as Dez Bryant, Felix Jones and Miles Austin to a convincing victory over the NFL's top-ranked defense.
The only real question is if Tony Romo will play once healed up, but with Detroit next on the Cowboys schedule, Kitna can fill in nicely for now, if not longer.
Kitna is still out there in 82% of Yahoo! leagues.
Michael Vick, Philadelphia Eagles
Might seem like a no-brainer, but I noted last week how Vick was still available in 11% of Yahoo! leagues.
Today he is still available in 7% of them. Might not sound like a lot, but that still makes up several thousand leagues. Vick should be 100% owned.
You all know what he did on Monday Night Football by now. If you are in one of these crazy 7% of leagues, go get him. NOW!
Ignore
Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buffalo Bills
Amazing how one bad game can cause a mass dumping by fantasy owners. Fitz isn't seeing much love today.
Unless you can upgrade right now, keep him around. His average numbers as starter have been too good to drop and run just yet.
Drop/Trade Bait
Chad Pennington, Miami Dolphins
Due to a clause in his contract, Pennington earned a $200,000 bonus for his two plays Sunday. He then left the game with injury.
He won't earn you $2 going forward, as he got hurt and is now on IR.
Kevin Kolb, Philadelphia Eagles
After Vick's historic performance Monday night, any talk of Kolb getting another start this year went out the car window and splattered on a busy highway.
Kolb didn't even come in Monday until the final minutes, even though the game was well in-hand for the Eagles from the start.
To add to it, Philly and the New York Giants look like they will battle for the NFC East the rest of the way, giving little hope of Vick being rested in a late-season game.
