NFL Fantasy Football Hot Pickup Alert: Mike Williams is Only 39 Percent Owned

Seattle Seahawks No. 1 wide receiver Mike Williams, aka Big Mike Williams (BMW), is only 39 percent owned in Yahoo! fantasy football leagues despite having three tremendous performances in the last five weeks.

BMW was slowed by an injury in a matchup where he faced off against arguably the NFL’s best cornerback in Nnamdi Asomugha, and struggled while still dealing with the injury with the inept Charlie Whitehurst under center against the Giants.

Matt Hasselbeck took the helm once again Sunday afternoon and drove the BMW for 11 receptions and 145 yards receiving.

This former first-round "bust" has really come into his own under former college coach Pete Carroll, and he is enjoying a career resurgence playing for him once again.

Over the past five weeks, Big Mike Williams has amassed 35 receptions, 32 of them coming in just three contests. And while this indicates he may still be inconsistent, he is now an every-week starter as a WR3 and in PPR formats he has officially entered the WR2 threshold.

Mike Williams had a slow start to the season after being a popular draft-season sleeper but has really come as of late and could prove invaluable to his owners down the stretch of the fantasy football season.
