NFL Week 10 Headlines and Thoughts: Including David Garrard and Jason Garrett
We had a bit of everything in Week 10, and it produced a lot of good stories. There was a hail mary, a new coach, overtime, a team getting their first victory, coaches not shaking hands and more. This week forced me to re-evaluate my opinions on a couple of teams, but it also cemented my opinions on a few teams as well.
Dallas 33 - New York Giants 20

I have no idea what even happened in this game.
In my opinion, Dallas is horrible this year, and the Giants are decent. I ranked New York fifth in the NFC in my article last week and I stand by that. Anyone who thought they were the best in the NFL got a slap in the face after that game.
The Giants looked pathetic, and the Cowboys wanted to play hard for their new coach, Jason Garrett, which they did.
Buffalo 14 - Detroit 12

The Buffalo Bills had lost their last three games by three points each.
They are not a good team of course, but they aren’t a horrible team either. They were favored coming into this game and they sealed up their first victory of the year in an ugly game against another below average team.
But hey, they got a win and they deserve congratulations.
Atlanta 26 - Baltimore 20

As I wrote last week, I think the Falcons are the best team in the NFC and it's not even close
They showed a lot of internal strength by coming back to defeat the Ravens, who are a great team, after giving up a huge lead in the fourth quarter.
Don’t be surprised if we’re talking about these two teams in January.
Chicago 27 - Minnesota 13

I took Chicago in this game with the spread at 0. I just don’t think the Vikings are all that good, and it seems that most people are having that realization themselves as well.
Brett Favre is a good quarterback, but at his age he just is not elite anymore. His injury problems are probably a bigger issue then we all think. The thing is, the Bears aren’t that good either, and I don’t think they’ll even make the playoffs, but they are still better then the Vikings.
Jacksonville 31 - Houston 24

Wow, what a game.
Whoever stuck with this and saw the entire matchup was in for a real treat. I had both starting quarterbacks starting for my two fantasy teams so I was rooting for a high-scoring game, which it turned out to be. That was an absolutely amazing hail mary by David Garrard. It was probably one of the best plays to end a game I have ever seen live.
Whoever is blaming the DB on the Texans needs to stop because that is what all defensive players are taught to do. How about blaming the two defensemen who didn’t block out the wide receivers and allowed Mike Thomas to catch that ball?
Also, it was a great comeback game for Matt Schaub after a few poor performances.
